Description
The Pride Jazzy Select 6 is a full-size mid-wheel power chair with 10 inch drive wheels, 6 inch casters front and rear, and Pride's Active-Trac suspension. Westin Healthcare sells remaining units and delivers them for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Pride's current Canada Jazzy lineup no longer includes the Jazzy Select 6. Pride no longer lists it on the CA portal. Call (905) 451-7743 to confirm what is on the floor. The current Pride mid-wheel alternative is the Pride Jazzy EVO 613 Li.
Pride's Canadian Select 6 brochure rates the chair at 300 lbs, up to 4 mph (6.4 km/h), and up to 15 miles (24 km) on a pair of 12-volt U-1 batteries. The turning radius on that brochure is 21.875 inches.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who wants a full-size mid-wheel power chair for indoor halls and outdoor paths, fits Pride's 16, 18, or 20 inch seat, and is within the 300 lb rating. Families usually call us when they want six wheels on the ground and a tight mid-wheel turn, without the later EVO 613 lithium pack or the EVO 614's 13.75 inch drive wheels.
If you want the current 22 inch EVO 613 with a lithium option, start with the Pride Jazzy EVO 613 Li. If you want 13.75 inch perforated drive wheels, see the Pride Jazzy EVO 614. The Select 6 is not a folding travel chair.
- Full-size mid-wheel use in 16, 18, or 20 inch
- A 21.875 inch turning radius
- U-1 batteries and a 3.5-amp off-board charger
Design and build
Pride builds the Select 6 with six wheels on the ground: 10 inch centre drive wheels and 6 inch solid casters front and rear. Two in-line motors drive the chair. Active-Trac ATX suspension and an articulating beam are how Pride describes the ride over uneven ground and ramp transitions.
The comfort high-back seat has limited recline, a headrest, and a replaceable cover. The foot platform flips up and changes angle. The standard control is a 40-amp PG GC 3 joystick on a universal in-line mount. Jazzy Armor shroud and controller guards are how Pride describes the daily-wear protection. Tires are black, flat-free, and non-marking. A 60 inch lap belt is standard on the brochure.
The chair does not fold. Pride lists 23.5 inches wide and 35.375 inches long. The base is 100 lbs and the comfort high-back is 43 lbs. Plan on a van, a lift, or an accessible vehicle if it has to travel.
Pride Jazzy Select 6 specifications
These figures are for the Jazzy Select 6, SKU SELECT6, sold here. The specification tab holds the stored values. Pride's Canadian Select 6 brochure lists a 300 lb capacity, up to 4 mph, a 21.875 inch turning radius, 1.75 inch ground clearance, 10 inch drive wheels, 6 inch casters, up to 15 miles per charge, and a 40-amp PG GC 3 controller.
Batteries are two 12-volt U-1 packs at 25 lbs each. The charger is 3.5 amp off-board. Standard seats are 16 x 16-18, 18 x 18-20, and 20 x 18-20, with a 20 x 20 maximum. Do not mix these numbers with the later Select 6 2.0 sheet (23.75 inch turn, 4.3 mph, 19.2 miles) or with the EVO 613.
Warranty for a Canadian purchaser follows Pride's current insert: 5-year limited on the frame, 2-year limited on electronics and drive motors, and 13-month limited on batteries.

Use Accessories, Back-Mounted Accessories, and Additional Lap Belts for Pride parts such as a weather cover, rear basket, or a longer lap belt. Ask us which parts you need before you tick every line.
Jazzy Select 6 or Jazzy EVO 613 Li
The Select 6 is Pride's older 10 inch mid-wheel Jazzy with U-1 batteries only and a 21.875 inch turn. Pride has taken it off the current Canada portal. The EVO 613 Li is the current 22 inch mid-wheel sister with a lithium or U-1 choice. The EVO 614 is the current 13.75 inch drive-wheel sister. Do not treat the Select 6 as a renamed EVO.
Funding help for a power wheelchair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a power wheelchair when the need is long-term and the chair is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every chair qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this power chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the joystick and charger before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This power chair is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
