Pride's spec sheet prints up to 22 miles (36 km) on a Group 24 75 Ah pair and up to 30 miles (48 km) on a Group 27 pair. Those figures change with rider weight, terrain, and battery condition. This is a lead-acid outdoor scooter, not the lithium Pursuit 2.
Who this scooter is for
This heavy duty mobility scooter is for a person who wants a 400 lb 4-wheel platform, 13 in pneumatic tires, full suspension, and a reclining high-back seat, and who is comfortable with a scooter that does not fold. Families usually call us when they want more capacity than the Pursuit ES and they prefer lead-acid batteries to lithium.

Range, speed, and batteries
Pride prints 7.5 mph (12 km/h) for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Faster optional motors on that sheet are for other markets and are not the Canadian scooter.
Range is up to 22 miles (36 km) with 75 Ah Group 24 batteries and up to 30 miles (48 km) with 92 Ah Group 27 batteries. Use Batteries to pick the Group 24 or Group 27 pair. The charger is an 8 amp off-board unit. Charge until the meter shows full, usually overnight. Lead-acid packs wear with charge cycles; Pride does not print a cycle count here.
Portability and transport
The Pride Pursuit XL does not fold. Pride lists 271 lbs (123 kg) without batteries. Group 24 packs are about 55 lbs (25 kg) each. Plan on a vehicle lift or trailer, not a car trunk.
It is not an airline cabin item. Sealed lead-acid packs can travel as a mobility aid only when the airline agrees in advance. Pride lists unoccupied tie-down points and a hydraulic handbrake on the Canada feature list.

Use Colors to pick Red or Silver. Use Tires for pneumatic (standard) or solid flat-free. Use Batteries for the Group 24 75 Ah pair or the Group 27 pair. Use Seating (Options) for the 18 in by 18 in high-back or the 19.5 in by 17.5 in high-back.
Accessories and Cane/Crutch Holder add a basket, flag, cover, or holder after the scooter itself is chosen.
Pursuit XL or Pursuit 2
The Pride Pursuit XL is the lead-acid outdoor scooter: 7.5 mph (12 km/h), 56 in by 27.25 in, Group 24 or Group 27 batteries. The Pride Pursuit 2 is the current lithium outdoor scooter: 9.3 mph (15 km/h), 57.5 in by 29.7 in, 50 Ah lithium. They are different models, not a rename. Choose the XL when you want the heavier lead-acid platform. Choose the Pursuit 2 when you want lithium and the current factory card.
Funding help for a mobility scooter in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a mobility scooter when the need is long-term and the scooter is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost.
