Description
The Drive Premium Series Shower Chair with Back and Arms is Drive item RTL12505, a shower chair with back for a bathtub or a stall. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The back, the legs, and the arms come off without tools.
Drive rates RTL12505 at 350 lb (159 kg). The seat sits 21.75 in by 16.5 in (55 cm by 42 cm). Height uses a printed indicator and 1/2 in clicks. Drive's current sheet does not print a height range. Authorized Drive reprints print 16 in to 20.5 in (41 cm to 52 cm).
Who this premium series shower chair is for
This premium series shower chair is for a person who stays at or under the 350 lb rating and who wants a wider seat, a back, and arms that come off. Families usually call us when a 16 in padded-arm chair feels tight and they do not need a transfer bench that bridges the tub wall.
If you want padded arms on a narrower seat, start with the Drive Shower Chair with Back and Removable Padded Arms. If you need 500 lb, see the Drive Deluxe Bariatric Shower Chair.
- A seated wash in a tub or a stall, with a back and arms
- 21.75 in by 16.5 in seat and a 350 lb rating
- Tool-free height, and a removable back, legs, and arms
Seat height and fit
Sit on the seat in the tub or the stall with your feet flat. Your hips and knees should sit at a comfortable bend. Drive prints a height indicator and 1/2 in clicks on RTL12505. Authorized reprints print 16 in to 20.5 in (41 cm to 52 cm). Match the four legs to the same mark before you sit.
The seat is 21.75 in wide by 16.5 in deep (55 cm by 42 cm). That is Drive's printed size. Do not use 21 in by 21.25 in. Drive does not print a width between arms on this sheet. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want to sit on the chair before you order.
Frame, drainage, and assembly
Drive prints large stable legs with soft non-slip feet. The back, the legs, and the arms come off without tools. Height is tool-free and uses a height indicator. Drive prints that the plastic parts use recycled materials.
The chair is retail packaged. Unit weight on the sheet is 11.5 lb (5.2 kg). The 48 lb carton line is a 4-count case, not the weight of one chair. We can put it together at delivery.

Capacity 350 lb (159 kg). Seat 21.75 in by 16.5 in (55 cm by 42 cm). Height clicks 1/2 in with an indicator. Removable back, legs, and arms. Soft non-slip feet. Warranty for a Canadian purchaser follows Drive's printed term: limited lifetime.
Stool, chair, bench, or bariatric
A shower stool is a small round seat with no back. A shower chair has a back, and some chairs add arms. A shower bench is a wider seat that still sits inside the tub or the stall. A bariatric chair uses a heavier rating and a braced frame. A transfer bench bridges the tub wall so the person sits outside and slides in.
RTL12505 is a shower chair with back and arms. It is not a stool and it is not a transfer bench. If the person wants padded arms on a 16 in seat, use the 12445KD-1. If they need 500 lb, use the bariatric chair. If they need to slide in from outside the tub, start with the Drive Combination Transfer Bench and Commode.
