This is Hybrid Select. It is not the ROHO Hybrid Elite SR, and it is not the High Profile air-only cushion.

Who this cushion is for

The ROHO Hybrid Select cushion is for a person whose seating therapist wants both a ROHO air insert and a contoured foam base for positioning and stability. Permobil prints superior positioning, lateral stability, coccyx relief, and an optional offload by removing the ischial (IT) air insert.

A seating therapist should confirm the size, the ISOFLO setting, and whether the IT insert stays in. This page does not give clinical positioning advice.

Fit and size

Measure the wheelchair seat width and depth, then use Choose Cushion Size for the HS code that matches. Permobil prints widths 14 to 18 inches in 1 inch steps plus 20 inches, and the same band for depth. Thickness varies from 2.5 to 5.13 inches (6.4 to 13.0 cm) because of the contour.

SE0001854 is Permobil's Ontario line for Hybrid Select up to 19 inches wide. 20 inch sizes are still Hybrid Select; they sit on a different ADP line (SE0001855). Ask us which line applies to the size you order.

ISOFLO, foam base, and offloading

The ROHO Hybrid Select cushion uses ISOFLO Memory Control on the air inserts. Green is open so air can move through the cushion. Red is closed so air stays in separate compartments for positioning. Permobil's quick setup says to unlock ISOFLO before you inflate, pump until the cells feel firm, then follow the hand check in the manual.

The foam base is high-resiliency and contoured, with deep leg troughs for lateral stability and a cut-out for the coccyx. The IT air insert can be removed when the therapist wants that offload. We show you the green and red buttons when we set the cushion up. We will not set an offload from this page.

Which ROHO cushion fits

Stay here if you want ISOFLO compartments, the removable IT insert, and the 500 lb Hybrid Select. The ROHO Hybrid Elite SR Cushion is the other hybrid: a single air insert on contoured foam, optional Smart Check, and a 24-month cushion warranty. The ROHO High Profile Cushion is air only at 4.25 inches. The ROHO Mosaic Cushion is the entry air cushion.

Foam such as the JAY Basic Cushion is for very low skin risk on sling upholstery. Air, foam, and gel are different jobs. Ask the seating therapist which medium fits.

Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost.
