The ROHO High Profile cushion is Permobil's 4.25 inch (10.5 cm) single-compartment air cushion for wheelchair skin protection. Westin Healthcare fits it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area after a seating check on the chair. Ontario lists the heavy-duty LTC cover line as SESRO3015.
This is the High Profile cell height with a heavy-duty cover. It is not the ROHO Mosaic, and it is not the Hybrid Elite SR or Hybrid Select foam-and-air cushions.
Who this cushion is for
The ROHO High Profile cushion is for a person whose seating therapist is looking for an air cushion for wheelchair skin protection, including someone with a history of skin or soft tissue issues or who may be at risk. Permobil designed the interconnected cells so the person can immerse into the cushion and so the surface can match shape and movement.
A seating therapist should confirm the size and the inflation. This page does not give clinical positioning advice. If you have questions about wounds, posture, or transfers, ask the therapist who assessed you, or call us and we will book that conversation.
Fit and size
A wheelchair cushion should match the wheelchair seat, not a clothing size. Measure the seat width and seat depth on the chair, then pick the ROHO cell-count size that Permobil prints for that seat. High Profile cells are about 4.25 inches (10.5 cm) tall before load.
Use Choose Cushion Size for the 1R size that matches the chair. Examples on Permobil's chart: 1R99 is about 17 by 17 inches (43 by 43 cm); 1R1010 is about 19 by 19 inches (47 by 47 cm). The HD suffix is the heavy-duty LTC cover that Ontario codes as SESRO3015.

Air cells, cover, and care
The ROHO High Profile is an air cushion for wheelchair use with one compartment of interconnected cells. Air can move through the cushion so the surface can follow the body. Set the air with the hand pump, then use the hand check in Permobil's guide. We show you that check when we set the cushion up.
The cover is removable and machine washable. The listing sizes use the heavy-duty LTC cover. The neoprene cushion can be cleaned with soap and water. Permobil also publishes a patch-and-repair path so a small hole does not have to end the cushion.

Permobil's current Single Compartment card prints widths from 10 to 27 inches and depths from 10 to 25 inches across the whole High / Mid / Low family. We sell the High Profile sizes on Choose Cushion Size, not every cell count on that card.
Which ROHO cushion fits
Stay here if you want the 4.25 inch High Profile air cells and the LTC cover. The ROHO Mosaic Cushion is the entry air cushion with larger cells, a 315 lb (143 kg) rating, and a 12-month cushion warranty. The ROHO Hybrid Elite SR Cushion adds a contoured foam base and optional Smart Check. The ROHO Hybrid Select Cushion adds ISOFLO compartments, a removable IT insert, and a 500 lb (227 kg) rating.
Foam such as the JAY Basic Cushion is a different job: mild contour on sling upholstery for very low skin risk. Gel is a third construction. A seating therapist should pick the medium. We will not choose it from a web form.
Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario
This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help.
