Description
The RGK GrandSlam Series is a tennis wheelchair made to the player's measurements: a 7020 aluminum court chair in GrandSlam or GrandSlam X. Westin Healthcare is an authorized Sunrise Medical dealer. A clinician or coach measures the player, Westin writes the RGK order, and RGK builds that frame. This is a court chair, not an everyday mobility chair, and it is not a boxed chair that ships the next day.
Sunrise Canada prints GrandSlam at 18.7 lb (8.5 kg) and GrandSlam X at 17.4 lb (7.9 kg), with a 275 lb (125 kg) user limit. Seat width and depth run 250 to 500 mm (9.8 to 19.7 in) in 5 mm steps. A carbon fibre knee support with ratchet is standard on the series. Transit is not printed on the Canada spec table, so we do not claim a crash-test rating.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a tennis player who needs a made-to-measure court frame, fits the GrandSlam size range, and stays at or under 275 lb (125 kg). RGK's UK card names it for quad and open players, intermediate to professional. Clubs usually call us when the player has outgrown an adjustable tennis chair.
If the player still wants to change setup on a two-piece chassis, see the RGK Match Point. If the club needs one chair for several sports, see the RGK Club Sport.
- Wheelchair tennis, not everyday street use
- GrandSlam 18.7 lb or GrandSlam X 17.4 lb on the Canada card
- Seat, knee support, and anti-tip written on the RGK order after measurement
How RGK measures and builds the chair
Westin meets the player with the clinician or coach, then sends RGK the GrandSlam or GrandSlam X order. RGK's made-to-measure process takes more than 30 measurements, draws the frame in CAD, and has one technician build it. Sunrise prints 19 quality checks from measure to handover. Frame name, colour, anti-tip, and strapping are written on the order.
A floor chair, if we can show one, will not match every prescribed size. This is a quote-only court build.
Design and build
The GrandSlam uses a 7020 aluminum open frame, a carbon fibre knee support with ratchet, and a low backrest Sunrise describes as better for the serve. Calf and toe straps are standard. Airtech Sport upholstery, tapered or V-front or asymmetrical seats, and single or double anti-tips are order-form choices. UK copy prints a 45 mm camber bar. The Canada spec table does not print camber degrees, so we do not invent them.
GrandSlam X adds a carbon fibre axle that is clamped, not welded, carbon fibre sideguards with CNC sidearms, and the Tri-Frame chassis (X only on this series). Ceramic bearings and titanium fasteners are GrandSlam X options.

GrandSlam or another tennis wheelchair
The GrandSlam Series is RGK's made-to-measure tennis wheelchair. The Match Point is the adjustable two-piece tennis chair when the player still wants to change setup. The Club Sport is the entry-level multi-sport chair. Everyday street chairs sit on the Octane Sub4 page.
Funding help for a sports wheelchair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) funds mobility devices for daily mobility needs, and a dedicated sports wheelchair is generally not covered, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: Canadian Tire Jumpstart, ParaSport Ontario and provincial parasport organizations, war amps and community service clubs for eligible applicants, and extended health plans in some cases. Westin Healthcare's staff work with funding programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers this sports wheelchair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, confirm the prescribed fit, and show you the knee support, the straps, and the quick-release rear wheels before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through the measurement first. For a scheduled delivery, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; a purchased custom sports chair is delivered on a scheduled date.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Sunrise Medical manufacturer warranty
RGK's owner's manual family prints 5 years on the frame and cross-braces and 12 months on other Sunrise parts for the original purchaser. Tires, tubes, and pads sit outside that term. Sunrise Canada says the term can also vary by province. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
What Is A Tennis Wheelchair?
A tennis wheelchair is a court chair with camber, a low back, and a knee support, built for the game rather than for everyday street use. The RGK GrandSlam Series is RGK's made-to-measure tennis wheelchair in GrandSlam or GrandSlam X.
GrandSlam Or GrandSlam X?
The RGK GrandSlam and GrandSlam X share the 7020 aluminum tennis frame and the 275 lb rating. GrandSlam X adds the carbon fibre axle, carbon sideguards, and Tri-Frame. The coach and Westin write one of those two names on the order.
How Light Is The GrandSlam Series?
Sunrise Canada prints the RGK GrandSlam at 18.7 lb (8.5 kg) and the GrandSlam X at 17.4 lb (7.9 kg).
What Is The Weight Capacity?
The RGK GrandSlam Series is rated at 275 lb (125 kg). Stay at or under that rating.
How Should The Seat Width Be Chosen?
The clinician or coach measures the player. Sunrise offers 9.8 to 19.7 in (250 to 500 mm) in 5 mm steps. Do not guess a width from a photo.
Is This An Everyday Wheelchair?
No. The RGK GrandSlam Series is a tennis wheelchair. Everyday RGK street chairs start at the Octane Sub4.
Can Funding Help With A Sports Wheelchair In Ontario?
Some Ontario routes can help with sports and recreation equipment. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. For children and youth, Jumpstart Individual Child Grants can help with sport registration and equipment, and ParaSport Ontario lists grant routes. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before anyone orders.
Does Jumpstart Pay For The Whole Chair?
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities publishes Individual Child Grants of up to three hundred dollars per year per child, ages 4 to 18, for registration and equipment, paid to a registered sport organization. That can help. It is not a promise to buy a GrandSlam.
Can I Try A GrandSlam Before We Order?
Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and ask what we can show. A floor chair will not match every prescribed size. We will tell you honestly what is on the floor.
What Is The Warranty?
RGK's owner's manual family prints 5 years on the frame and cross-braces and 12 months on other parts. Sunrise Canada says the term can vary by province. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
