The Quantum Q6 Edge offered here is a refurbished first-generation mid-wheel power chair from Quantum Rehab. Westin Healthcare sells the refurbished unit and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is the original Q6 Edge, the generation before Edge 2.0, Edge 3, and Edge HD. It is a used chair, not a new Type 3 configuration. Quantum still builds the later Edge models. If you want a current funded mid-wheel, start with the Q6 Edge 2.0, the Edge 3, or the Q6 Edge HD.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who wants a mid-wheel Quantum base, is within a 300 lb class chair, and is happy with a refurbished first-generation Edge instead of a new Edge 2.0 or Edge 3. Families usually call us when they already know the original Edge, or when a used mid-wheel is the right next step while a new funded chair is still being assessed.
If you need 450 lbs, start with the Q6 Edge HD. If you want current Smooth Ride Suspension and the later iLevel package, start with the Edge 3. The original Edge is not a folding travel chair.

Design and build
Quantum built the original Q6 Edge as a Mid-Wheel 6 base: six wheels on the ground, centre drive, and rehab seating of the period. Later Edge 2.0 and Edge 3 sheets add iLevel, Accu-Trac, LED fender lights, and newer electronics. Do not assume those options are on this refurbished chair unless we confirm them on the serial.
Use Color, Seat Width, and Seat Depth as the starting finish and size on the refurbished unit. Official later-generation seating ranges are wider than the pairs on a used chair. If a size you need is not there, ask us. We will tell you what is actually on the floor.
The chair does not fold. A full-size mid-wheel needs a van, a lift, or an accessible vehicle if it has to travel.
Quantum Q6 Edge specifications
This is a refurbished original Q6 Edge. Quantum no longer publishes a spec sheet for that first generation. We will not print Edge 2.0 or Edge 3 numbers (speed, range, base weight, iLevel height) as if they were measured on this chair.
What we will stand behind: mid-wheel 6 layout, adult rehab seating on the serial we have, and a 300 lb class rating unless the tag on the chair says otherwise. Ask us to read the serial tag before anyone treats a later-generation figure as fact.
Quantum's Canada insert gives reconditioned units six months. New-unit lifetime frame terms applied to the original purchaser of a new chair. Coverage on this refurbished chair is the term Westin confirms on the order.
Colour, seat width, and seat depth
Use Color, Seat Width, and Seat Depth to match the refurbished chair on the floor. Typical starting colours are black, blue, red, and military green. Typical starting widths and depths run 16 to 22 inches. Call (905) 451-7743 if you need a pair that is not in those starting choices.
Do not treat those three choices as a new custom Edge. This is a refurbished chair.

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this power chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the joystick and charger before we leave.

Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This power chair is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Frequently asked questions
Is this the Edge 2.0, Edge 3, or Edge HD?
No. This is a refurbished first-generation Q6 Edge. Edge 2.0, Edge 3, and Edge HD are later models with their own pages and their own ADP rows. We can show you those if a new chair is the goal.
Is this chair refurbished?
Yes. It is a used original Q6 Edge, inspected and sold as a refurbished unit. It is not a new chair built on a current Quantum order form.
How is a mid-wheel Edge different from a transport chair?
A transport chair has small wheels and is pushed by a caregiver. The Q6 Edge is a full-size mid-wheel power chair the person drives with a joystick. It does not fold into a car trunk.
Who drives it?
The person in the chair, using the joystick. Power down and set the brakes before sitting or standing.
How should the seat width fit?
The therapist or our staff measure seated hip width. Use Seat Width and Seat Depth as the starting pair on the refurbished chair. If you need a size that is not in those starting choices, ask us what is actually on the floor.
What is the weight capacity?
Treat this as a 300 lb class adult Edge unless the tag on the serial says otherwise. The 450 lb chair in this family is the Edge HD, a different model.
Why is there no speed or range figure?
Quantum no longer publishes an original-Q6-Edge spec sheet. Later Edge 2.0 and Edge 3 sheets are a different generation. We will not invent a mile or mph number for this refurbished chair.
Will it fold into a car trunk?
No. It is a full-size mid-wheel rehab base. Moving it usually means a van, a lift, or an accessible vehicle.
What is the warranty?
Quantum prints six months on a reconditioned unit. Ask us which term is on this chair. Westin Healthcare processes service and any claim.
Can funding help with this chair in Ontario?

What if I need power tilt or iLevel?
Those functions are later-generation options. We will tell you whether this serial has them. If you need current iLevel, start with the Edge 3.
