Invacare Divided Leg Sling

The Invacare Reliant Divided Leg Sling is a padded polyester loop sling for Invacare full-body lifts. Invacare rates R100P, R100, R101, and R102 at 450 lb. Westin Healthcare quotes it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area with the Invacare Reliant 450.

This is a loop sling. Invacare slings are made for Invacare lifts. They are not a mix-and-match part for a Human Care or Handicare bar. If you need a commode opening on an older 9805-style lift, see the Invacare Standard Sling 9047, which uses straps or chains instead of loops.

Who this sling is for

Invacare describes the divided-leg sling as a secure, easy-to-fit general-purpose sling for people who are totally dependent, partially dependent, non-weight bearing, very heavy inside 450 lb, or who have limited head control. Use it from bed to a wheelchair, recliner, or shower chair. The large opening also accommodates toileting. It is not a sit-to-stand sling.

Sizing

Invacare sizes this family as R100P, R100, R101, and R102. Binding colours on Invacare's shop chart are navy (small), purple (medium), green (large), and blue (extra large). Invacare's colour/weight chart is a general guide only. Confirm the size with a clinician or our staff before first use.

Attachment and compatible lifts

This is a one-piece loop sling. Colour-coded loops hook to the Invacare swivel bar. No 9070 strap kit or 9071 chain kit is used.

Invacare names Jasmine, Reliant 450, Reliant 600, I-Transia, and 9805 (on the large hooks of the swivel bar). On our site the matching lift is the Invacare Reliant 450. Invacare says do not intermix slings and lifts of different manufacturers. Shop other divided-leg styles in divided-leg slings.

Material is polyester, padded, with a brushed lining. Invacare says it can be used wet or dry. Safe working load is 450 lb on every size. We quote the sling with the Reliant 450 so the size and the lift stay in the same conversation.

Care and laundering

Invacare says wash regularly in water not over 180 F (82 C). Do not bleach. Air dry or dry at low temperature. Inspect after every wash for wear, tears, and loose stitching. Follow the tag on the sling. Invacare prints an expected service life of 13 months when the sling is used and laundered as directed.
