Description
The Quickie Q700-UP M is a standing mid-wheel power wheelchair from Sunrise Medical. Westin Healthcare configures it after an ADP-registered therapist assessment and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not an off-the-shelf cart chair and it is not the non-standing Quickie Q700 M. Seat size, SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP standing, and electronics are written on the Sunrise order form. Sunrise Canada's standing page rates the base at 265 lbs, 6 mph standard (8 mph optional), and up to 18 miles with Group 24 batteries and 6 mph motors. An assessment comes first. For eligible clients, ADP can fund 75% of the approved price of a qualifying power wheelchair. Standing and power positioning often follow a separate high-technology path. Your therapist will say which route applies.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who needs a mid-wheel power base and a programmed stand, who is within Sunrise's 265 lb rating, and whose therapist has chosen SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP. Families usually call us when face-to-face height, standing transfers, and indoor turning all sit on the same prescription.
If you need the redesigned mid-wheel without standing, start with the Quickie Q700 M. If a more compact Quickie mid-wheel is enough, see the Quickie Q500 M. The Q700-UP M is not a folding travel chair.
- Mid-wheel drive with a 25 inch base and a 19.8 inch turning radius (brochure, excludes the footplate)
- SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP standing up to 85 degrees
- Six memory positions, including stand, elevate, and forward tilt
Standing and SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP
SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP is the standing seat for this base. Sunrise Canada's SEDEO page rates the stand at up to 85 degrees. The centre-mount footrest gives a 90 degree knee angle when seated. The footplate can go to the ground so a standing transfer is possible. Power recline uses 7 inches of anti-shear. Biometric repositioning moves through an intermediate tilt when you come back from recline so the pelvis can settle. Anterior tilt is part of this seat. Elevate on the UP seat is 8 inches. C-Me drive-while-elevated is not on the SEDEO UP comparison table, so we do not promise it here.
Sunrise prints six memory slots on the Q700-UP brochure: seated, pressure relief, supine, forward tilt, elevate, and stand. CTRL+5 with voice can call a saved position. Switch-It specialty controls are manufacturer options when the therapist asks for them. R-Net is the standard joystick.
Design and drive
Sunrise builds the Q700-UP M as a true mid-wheel with independent movement of all six wheels. The Canada standing page still names SpiderTrac 2.0 on this model. That is not the ProGrip language used on the newly redesigned non-standing Q700 M. Drive wheels are 14 inches. Casters are 6 inches. 4-pole motors are 6 mph standard and 8 mph optional. Group 24 batteries. Occupied transit is tested to ISO 7176-19:2008. The chair does not fold. Plan on a van, a lift, or an accessible vehicle.
Quickie Q700-UP M specifications
These figures are for the current North American Q700-UP M as printed on Sunrise Medical Canada marketing, the Q700-UP brochure spec table, and the SEDEO Canada page. The specification tab holds the stored values. Ignore a 23.5 inch turn or a 366 lb starting weight if those still appear on a mixed spec widget. Those numbers belong to the non-standing Q700 M.
Base width 25 inches on the Canada page (brochure total width 24.5 inches). Turning radius 19.8 inches excluding the footplate. Seat-to-floor from 18 inches. SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP seat width 16 to 20 inches. Depth is set on the order. User weight 265 lbs. Range up to 18 miles with Group 24 batteries and 6 mph motors. Speeds 6 mph standard, 8 mph optional. Product weight 435 lbs with batteries on the brochure (335 lbs without). Ground clearance 3 inches on the US spec table.
Warranty on the Sunrise spec block is Lifetime Limited. Coverage can vary by province and funding program. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
How this chair is configured
Every Q700-UP M is written on the Sunrise standing order form with the therapist. Seat width, depth, standing supports, electronics, and memory positions are set there. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will start that form with you.
Q700-UP M or Q700 M
The Q700-UP M is the standing chair on SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP, rated at 265 lbs. The Q700 M is the newly redesigned mid-wheel without standing, rated at 300 lbs (HD 450 lbs) with ProGrip. They share a family look. They are not the same order form.
Funding help for a power wheelchair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a power wheelchair when the need is long-term and the chair is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every chair qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
After the chair is approved and built to the prescription, Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the joystick, charger, standing sequence, and seating functions before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a mid-wheel power chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This power wheelchair is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
Does The Q700-UP M Stand?
The Quickie Q700-UP M stands on SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP. Sunrise Canada's SEDEO page rates that stand at up to 85 degrees. The therapist programs how far and how fast the person stands.
How Is The Q700-UP M Different From The Q700 M?
The Quickie Q700-UP M is the standing chair rated at 265 lbs. The Quickie Q700 M is the newly redesigned mid-wheel without standing, rated at 300 lbs (HD 450 lbs). They are separate Sunrise models.
Who Qualifies For ADP Funding?
In general you must be an Ontario resident with a valid health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for 6 months or longer. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess you before you buy. We cannot promise that a specific person will qualify.
How Does The 75 / 25 Split Work?
For eligible clients, ADP pays 75% of the approved price and the person pays 25%. If the person receives Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD, ADP can cover 100% of that approved price. Batteries and items outside the ADP device are extra. Standing and power positioning can follow a different path. Talk to us before anyone pays a deposit.
What Is The Assessment Process?
An ADP-registered OT or PT examines the person, helps complete the application, and works with Westin on the configuration. The vendor submits the form. Ontario aims to review applications within 8 weeks. Do not order the chair before those steps, or you may have to pay the full cost.
Can I Try A Q700-UP M Before We Submit Paperwork?
Call (905) 451-7743 and ask what is on the floor in Brampton or Toronto. A floor chair is a starting point. The chair that ships is the one on the standing order form.
What Is The Weight Capacity?
Sunrise lists 265 lbs on the Q700-UP M. There is no HD row on this standing base. Stay at or under that rating.
What Seat Width Does Sunrise Print?
The Q700-UP brochure and the SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP table print seat width 16 to 20 inches. The therapist measures seated hip width and writes the size on the form.
What If The Prescription Includes Power Tilt, Recline, Or Standing?
Ontario treats power dynamic tilt and/or recline as high technology bought through the Central Equipment Pool. Standing is a therapist-led question on that same path. Your therapist will say if CEP applies. Westin works with that process when it does.
What Happens If ADP Declines The Application?
Ontario sends a letter with the reason and how to follow up, including an appeal. Do not take delivery on the assumption that funding will arrive later. Call us and we will walk through the next step with the therapist.
What Is The Warranty On The Q700-UP M?
Sunrise prints Lifetime Limited on the current spec block. Provincial funding rules can change what is on the invoice. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
Will This Chair Fold Into A Car Trunk?
No. The Quickie Q700-UP M is a full-size standing mid-wheel. Sunrise's brochure lists 435 lbs with batteries. Moving it usually means a van, a lift, or an accessible vehicle.
