Description
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter is a 4-wheel outdoor mobility scooter for roads, packed trails, and longer days out around Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets it up. Pride's current spec sheet rates the Canadian scooter at 400 lbs (181 kg) and up to 9.3 mph (15 km/h).
The factory pack in the United States and Canada is one 24-volt 50 Ah lithium battery. Pride prints up to 17.4 miles (28 km) at 220 lb and up to 13.8 miles (22.2 km) at 400 lb on that single pack. The dual 50 Ah upgrade prints up to 34.8 miles (56 km) at 220 lb and up to 30.9 miles (49.7 km) at 350 lb. Range shortens on hills, grass, and cold days.
Who this scooter is for
This scooter is for a person who wants a full-size outdoor 4-wheel platform, a 400 lb rating, 13 in pneumatic tires, and a lithium pack, and who does not need the scooter to fold. Families usually call us when the older Pursuit ES feels short on capacity, or when they want the current Pursuit name Pride still sells in Canada.
If you want the Canada brochure Group 24 Pursuit, start with the Pride Pursuit ES. If you want a heavier lead-acid outdoor platform, see the Pride Pursuit XL. The Pursuit 2 is not a travel scooter and it is not a dual-motor trail scooter.
- 400 lb (181 kg) rating in Canada
- Up to 9.3 mph (15 km/h)
- 57.5 in long, 29.7 in wide, CTS suspension
Range, speed, and batteries
On this outdoor mobility scooter Pride prints a single 50 Ah lithium pack at up to 17.4 miles (28 km) at 220 lb and up to 13.8 miles (22.2 km) at 400 lb. The dual pack is up to 34.8 miles (56 km) at 220 lb and up to 30.9 miles (49.7 km) at 350 lb.
Use Batteries to add the second 50 Ah lithium pack when you want the dual figure. The charger is an 8 amp off-board unit. Charge until the meter shows full. Lithium packs wear with time and cycles; Pride's US spec table prints a 3-year battery term on this model.
Portability and transport
The Pride Pursuit 2 does not disassemble. Pride lists 220.6 lbs (100 kg) without batteries. The standard lithium pack is 23.8 lbs (10.8 kg). Plan on a vehicle lift or trailer, not a car trunk.
It is not an airline cabin item. A 50 Ah 24-volt lithium pack is far above typical passenger-airline watt-hour limits. Do not plan to fly with it as luggage. Unoccupied tie-down points are for a lift or van.

Outdoor scooter: Pursuit 2 or Pursuit XL
The Pride Pursuit 2 is the current lithium outdoor scooter: 9.3 mph (15 km/h), 400 lbs, 57.5 in by 29.7 in. The Pride Pursuit XL is the older lead-acid outdoor sibling: 7.5 mph (12 km/h), 400 lbs, 56 in by 27.25 in, Group 24 or Group 27 batteries. Choose the Pursuit 2 for lithium and the current factory card. Choose the XL when you want the heavier lead-acid platform Pride Canada still lists. The Pride Pursuit ES is the 350 lb Group 24 Canada brochure scooter.
Funding help for a mobility scooter in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a mobility scooter when the need is long-term and the scooter is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every scooter qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Service and warranty
When something on the scooter needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's current Pursuit 2 spec table is lifetime limited on the frame, 2 years on electronics, 2 years on drivetrain, and 3 years on the lithium pack. Pride Canada's scooter warranty insert is lifetime limited on the frame, 2 years on electronics and drivetrain, and 13 months on batteries from the battery manufacturer. Westin Healthcare processes the Canadian claim on the Canada insert. Wear items such as tires, shrouds, and upholstery sit outside those terms.
Frequently asked questions
How far can a mobility scooter go?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter travels up to 17.4 miles (28 km) at 220 lb on one 50 Ah lithium pack, and up to 34.8 miles (56 km) at 220 lb on the dual pack. At 400 lb the single-pack figure is 13.8 miles (22.2 km).
How long to charge a mobility scooter?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter uses an 8 amp off-board charger. Leave it on charge until the meter shows full. Pride does not print a single hour count on the spec sheet.
Does ADP cover scooters?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a power scooter after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses the person. Westin Healthcare walks you through that route. We cannot promise that a specific person will qualify.
Can I take a mobility scooter on a plane?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter is a full-size lithium 4-wheel scooter and is not an airline cabin item. The 50 Ah 24-volt pack is above typical passenger-airline watt-hour limits. Do not plan to fly with it as luggage.
Can I use a mobility scooter in the rain?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter is not waterproof. Pride's consumer safety guide tells riders to avoid rain, snow, ice, and standing water. The plastic shrouds help with brush, not with a storm.
What is the turning radius of a 4 wheel scooter?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter has a 69.3 in (176 cm) turning radius on Pride's spec sheet. That is a full-size outdoor turn. For a tight indoor 4-wheel turn, see the Pride Zero Turn 8.
What is the weight capacity?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter is rated at 400 lbs (181 kg) for the United States and Canada on Pride's spec sheet. Stay at or under that figure with rider and cargo together.
Does the Pursuit 2 fold into a car trunk?
The Pride Pursuit 2 scooter does not fold or come apart. Pride lists 220.6 lbs (100 kg) without batteries and 57.5 in by 29.7 in. Use a vehicle lift or trailer.
What colours does Pride list?
Pride's current Pursuit 2 spec table lists Gray (Matte), Orange, and Black. Use Colors to pick the shroud that is in stock.
What is the warranty?
Pride prints a lifetime frame, 2 years electronics and drivetrain, and 3 years on the Pursuit 2 lithium pack on the US spec table. Pride Canada's insert is 13 months on batteries. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
