Description
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is Pride Mobility's current size-ladder power lift recliner with true-infinite positioning and a memory toggle remote. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride Canada lists Small, Petite Wide, Medium, and Large/Tall.
Pride's Tranquil 2 spec table rates every size at 400 lbs (181 kg) with a power headrest, power lumbar, an independent backrest, and a standard footrest extension. A lithium backup pack keeps the chair usable if household power fails. This is the chair Pride points at when Legacy 2 is gone.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 400 lb rating and needs a Pride size other than one medium SKU. Small and Petite Wide serve shorter sitters. Medium fits Pride's 5'4" to 5'9" (163 to 175 cm) guide. Large/Tall is the 5'10" (178 cm) and above chair with a 23.5 by 22.5 inch seat.
If you want three heat pads, see the Pride VivaLift Radiance. If you want a single 21 inch medium, see the Pride VivaLift Metro 2.
- Current Pride VivaLift with four Canada sizes
- True-infinite positioning, including a Trendelenburg-like pose
- Astro Grey, Astro Mushroom, or Astro Brown
Positions and controls
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 uses true-infinite positioning. The backrest and footrest move independently, so the feet can sit above the head. Pride's toggle remote stores two favourite positions and has a USB port. There is no heat system and no hideaway wireless pad on the official feature list.
The lithium backup is there so the lift still runs when the room loses power. The chair is not a substitute for a caregiver when the person cannot use a hand control.
Fit and size
Use Choose Size for the Pride build you need. Figures for Small, Medium, and Large/Tall come from Pride's live US spec table. Petite Wide is still sold on Pride Canada. Those PW numbers come from the matching Pride Tranquil PW column stored on this product.

Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 specifications
Every size: weight capacity 400 lbs (181 kg). Footrest extension standard. Total Comfort seat. Lithium backup. Warranty on the sheet is 7-year pro-rated. The specification tab on this product still shows a Petite Wide / 375 lb bucket. Use the size list above when they fight.
Colour options
Use Choose Color for Astro Grey, Astro Mushroom, or Astro Brown. Those three are Pride's standard Tranquil 2 Astro set. Pride Canada also lists extra Capriccio, Crypton, and Trento colours. Ask us if you need a fabric beyond Astro.
Tranquil 2, Metro 2, or Radiance
Tranquil 2 is the current VivaLift with the widest size ladder and no heat. The Metro 2 is the 21 inch medium with a 14 inch wall gap. The Radiance adds three heat pads, a wireless phone pad, and a cup holder. A 3-position Pride Elegance such as the LC-570 does not have independent back and footrest motors.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
A lift chair is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Tranquil 2 sheet prints a 7-year pro-rated limited warranty for the original purchaser. Pride's lift-chair insert also keeps a lifetime term on the lift and scissor mechanism and the lift frame, and 12 months on the lithium backup pack. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 400 lb rating voids the Pride warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is sold in Small, Petite Wide, Medium, and Large/Tall. Pride's height guides are 5'3" and below for Small, 5'4" to 5'9" for Medium, and 5'10" and above for Large/Tall. Petite Wide is the wider short seat. Sit in the size you think you need.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 needs 13 inches (33 cm) in Small, 12.5 inches (32 cm) in Petite Wide, and 16 inches (41 cm) in Medium and Large/Tall.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together. The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is infinite: the backrest and footrest run on their own, including a Trendelenburg-like pose with the feet above the head.
Does ADP Cover Lift Chairs?
Funding for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Some programs help with mobility equipment. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Does a Lift Chair Work During a Power Outage?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 includes a lithium backup pack so the lift and recline can still run if household power fails. Pride warrants that pack for 12 months.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Tranquil 2?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is rated at 400 lbs (181 kg) in every size Pride prints. Stay at or under that rating. A 375 lb figure on some storefront spec tabs is wrong for this SKU.
Does the Tranquil 2 Have Heat?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 does not include heat pads. If you want three heat zones on a current Pride chair, see the Radiance PLR-3955.
Is the Tranquil 2 a Current Pride Chair?
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 is on Pride's current US models index and on Pride Canada's VivaLift shop. It is a current collection chair.
