Description
The Pride VivaLift Premier is Pride Mobility's current flagship infinite-position power lift recliner with immersive audio, VivaLift Tilt, three heat pads, and a lumbar air-bladder massage. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride prints one Canada size: Medium PLR-5900M.
Pride's Premier specification table rates that Medium at 400 lbs (181 kg) with true-infinite positioning plus Tilt. Power headrest, power backrest, and power lumbar are on the sheet. A lithium backup pack keeps the chair usable if household power fails. The magnetic remote has a memory button and tilt control.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 400 lb rating, fits Pride's Medium height guide of 5'5" to 6'1" (165 to 185 cm), and wants the VivaLift with built-in audio, not only heat or tilt. Families usually call us when standing from a low sofa is the hard part, and they still want a leather chair that can pair to a phone, tablet, or television.
If you want Pride's tilt, heat, and lumbar massage without the audio system, see the Pride VivaLift Ultra. If you want three heat pads without tilt or massage, see the Pride VivaLift Radiance.
- Current Pride VivaLift flagship with immersive audio and cinematic vibration
- True-infinite positioning plus exclusive VivaLift Tilt
- Sorrento Coffee or Sorrento Eclipse leather
Audio, tilt, heat, and massage
The Pride VivaLift Premier pairs to a Bluetooth device as Moto Media System, or it can take a wired AUX, RCA, or optical feed from a zipper bay at the back left. Bass, treble, volume, and vibration sit on the arm. Pride's cinematic vibration is built into the chair. It is not a cinema-room speaker set.
Exclusive VivaLift Tilt pivots from the rear of the seat so the knees sit above the heart. Three heat pads sit in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat. The massage is an air bladder in the lower back with three intensity settings. Heat and massage buttons sit on the inside of the arm. The hideaway wireless pad charges phones that already support wireless charging. Pride says not to put a watch on that pad. USB-A and USB-C ports are on the chair. Both arms have storage. The cup holder is a hideaway, self-leveling well.
The lithium backup is there so the lift still runs when the room loses power. The chair is not a substitute for a caregiver when the person cannot use a hand control.
Fit and size
Pride sells the Premier in Medium only on the live specification table, on Pride Canada's Medium chip, and on the Pride 365 Canada card. Marketing lines that say "multiple sizes" do not add a Small or Large we can order from those tables.
PLR-5900M Medium: seat 23 by 21 inches (58 by 53 cm). Seat-to-floor 20.5 inches (52 cm). Chair height 43 inches (109 cm). Wall 17 inches (43 cm). Overall width 39.5 inches (100 cm). Chair weight 232 lbs (105 kg). Height guide 5'5" to 6'1" (165 to 185 cm).

Premier, Ultra, or Radiance
Premier is the current VivaLift with immersive audio, Tilt, heat, and lumbar massage. The Ultra keeps Tilt, heat, and lumbar massage and drops the audio system. The Radiance keeps three heat pads and drops tilt, massage, and audio. The Tranquil 2 and Elegance 2 are infinite VivaLifts without heat. A 3-position Pride chair such as the Elegance LC-570 does not have independent back and footrest motors and does not tilt.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
A lift chair is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Premier sheet prints a 7-year pro-rated limited warranty for the original purchaser. Pride's lift-chair insert also keeps a lifetime term on the lift and scissor mechanism and the lift frame, and 12 months on the lithium backup pack. Heat pads and the massage unit sit inside the pro-rated term. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 400 lb rating voids the Pride warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Is a Zero Gravity Lift Chair?
The Pride VivaLift Premier is Pride's zero-gravity style lift chair with exclusive VivaLift Tilt. Tilt pivots from the rear of the seat and raises the knees above the heart. That is a different motion from a standard infinite recline.
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Pride VivaLift Premier is sold as Medium PLR-5900M. Pride's height guide on the specification table is 5'5" to 6'1" (165 to 185 cm). Seat width is 23 inches (58 cm). Sit in a Medium before you order if you can.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Pride VivaLift Premier needs 17 inches (43 cm) from the wall in Medium.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together. The Pride VivaLift Premier is infinite and then adds Tilt, so the back, footrest, and seat pivot can move on their own.
Does ADP Cover Lift Chairs?
Funding for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Some programs help with mobility equipment. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Does a Lift Chair Work During a Power Outage?
The Pride VivaLift Premier includes a lithium backup pack so the lift and recline can still run if household power fails. Pride warrants that pack for 12 months.
Does the Premier Have Heat and Massage?
The Pride VivaLift Premier has three heat pads in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat, plus a lumbar air-bladder massage with three intensity settings. It is not a full-body massage chair.
How Does the Premier Audio System Work?
The Pride VivaLift Premier has speakers in the chair and a cinematic vibration function. Pair a Bluetooth device, or use the AUX, RCA, or optical ports under the back-left zipper. Arm controls adjust volume, bass, treble, and vibration.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Premier?
The Pride VivaLift Premier is rated at 400 lbs (181 kg) in Medium. Stay at or under that rating.
