This is the SELAN+ zinc oxide cream and lotion. SELAN+ AF is the antifungal cream with miconazole nitrate. SELAN Silver is the Silverion protective cream. Those stay on their own cards. The cream Drug Facts list dimethicone 2.1% and zinc oxide 2% as the active ingredients, with lanolin and fragrance among the inactive ingredients. The 8 oz lotion is the SELAN+ zinc oxide lotion in the same family. The bottle prints Zinc Oxide Formula and Non-greasy barrier lotion for treatment and prevention of diaper rash and pressure ulcers.
Unlike petrolatum-based pastes, SELAN+ is petrolatum-free and will not clog disposable briefs or pads. It absorbs quickly and leaves a satiny finish rather than a thick white residue.

Cream purpose is Skin Protectant. Cream actives are dimethicone 2.1% and zinc oxide 2%. Store at room temperature. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Stop use and ask a doctor if the condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

What this cream works with
SELAN+ zinc oxide is a topical cream or lotion. It does not attach to a lift and it is not a mattress. Because it is petrolatum-free, it will not clog disposable briefs or pads.

How is this different from SELAN+ AF?

How is this different from SELAN Silver?
SELAN Silver is a different protective cream with Silverion 2400 and dimethicone. It is not this zinc oxide line and it is not for broken skin or open wounds. Silver stays on its own card.
Should I pick the cream or the lotion?
Pick the cream for the 8 ml packet, the 4 oz tube, or the 16 oz jar. Pick the lotion for the 8 oz bottle. The lotion bottle prints Zinc Oxide Formula and the same non-greasy barrier line as the cream pack.
What sizes can I quote?

How do I apply the cream?
The cream Drug Facts say: apply cream liberally as often as necessary, change wet and soiled diapers promptly, cleanse the diaper area and allow to dry, and apply cream with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged. The 8 ml packet says to gently rub in a small amount until it is absorbed, two or three times a day as needed.
Does it clog disposable briefs?
No. SELAN+ is petrolatum-free. Span writes that it will not clog disposable briefs or pads.
Does it contain fragrance or lanolin?
Yes. The cream Drug Facts list Fragrance and Lanolin USP. Tell us if the person cannot use lanolin or fragrance so we can look at another article with you.
Can I use it on an open wound?
