Description
The Mobb small base quad cane is MOBB Health Care's four-point cane, item MHSQCBL, for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. MOBB prints a 300 lb (136 kg) rating, a 2 lb (0.9 kg) aluminum frame, and a push-button height of 28.6 to 37.6 inches (72.6 to 95.5 cm).
This is the small-base Mobb quad. It stands on four rubber tips. It is not the large-base Mobb quad (MHLQCBL) and it is not a single-tip Airgo. MOBB writes that the quad tip base provides extra stability and that the cane is self standing.
Who this cane is for
The Mobb small base quad cane is for a person who wants four tips on a lighter frame, stays at or under MOBB's 300 lb rating, and fits MOBB's 28.6 to 37.6 inch handle range. Families here usually call when they want that stance without the 4.3 lb large base.
MOBB writes that the cane is ideal for hemiplegia. That is MOBB's sentence, not a diagnosis. Westin does not give medical advice.
- Small four-point base, self standing
- Height 28.6 to 37.6 inches (72.6 to 95.5 cm), push-button
- 300 lb (136 kg) aluminum cane at 2 lb (0.9 kg)
Fit and height
MOBB prints 28.6 to 37.6 inches (72.6 to 95.5 cm) of push-button height on the small cane. The large-base sibling is 29 to 38 inches (73.7 to 96.5 cm). MOBB does not print a user-height chart.
Stand upright in the shoes you will walk in, with your arms relaxed. Set the handle at your wrist crease so your elbow stays slightly bent when you hold on. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want that height checked on the floor. MOBB does not print a left-or-right conversion step on this card. We will check the base against the hand you use before you leave.
- Handle 28.6 to 37.6 inches (72.6 to 95.5 cm)
- 300 lb (136 kg) rating
- Black only on MOBB's current card
Handle, base, and tip
This is a small-base quad cane. Four rubber tips sit on a tighter stance than the large Mobb. MOBB writes that the rubber tip is anti-slip and that the quad tip base provides extra stability. The cane stands on its own when you let go.
The shaft is lightweight aluminum. Height is push-button. The matching MOBB replacement four-point tip is item MHQCT34, named for 3/4 in shafts. Do not put a single-tip Flex-Grip on this base.
Weight and portability
MOBB prints 2 lbs (0.9 kg) on the small cane. That is less than the large Mobb at 4.3 lbs (2.0 kg). The cane does not fold. It stands on the four tips in a porch or a trunk. For a folding single-tip, use the Airgo Comfort-Plus Folding Cane.

Quad cane choices in Canada
The Mobb small base quad cane is the lighter four-point Mobb. Stay here if you want that smaller stance and the 2 lb frame. The Mobb Large Base Quad Cane is the same 300 lb rating on a 4.3 lb frame and a 29 to 38 inch height band. A single-tip cane is a different class: the Airgo Comfort-Plus Offset Cane or the Airgo Comfort-Plus Folding Cane.

Quad Cane Vs Single Point Cane?
The Mobb small base quad cane is a quad cane: four rubber tips and a self-standing base. A single-point cane has one tip and is lighter to swing. Pick this Mobb if you want that four-point stance on a 2 lb frame. Pick an Airgo offset if you want a single tip.
Small Base Or Large Base Quad Cane?
The Mobb small base quad cane is the small MHSQCBL: 2 lb and 28.6 to 37.6 inches. The Mobb large base is MHLQCBL: 4.3 lb and 29 to 38 inches. Both are 300 lb aluminum. Pick small if you want the lighter frame. Pick large for the wider stance.
