Pride's 2024 Canada Elegance sheet no longer prints the LC-450. Call us before you order so we can confirm Pride will still fill a classic LC-450.
Pride's August 2023 Canada catalog rates the LC-450C at 375 lbs (170 kg) with a 20" by 20" (50.8 by 50.8 cm) seat. The back, seat, and footrest travel together. Total Comfort Seating is Pride's one-piece foam seat. The chaise pad and split back come off for cleaning. The hand control has a USB port unless you add optional heat and massage.

This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 375 lb rating, fits Pride's medium 20" Elegance seat, and wants a 3-position lift and recline rather than independent back and footrest motors. Families usually call us when they want the Elegance look in one medium size and a chaise pad they can lift off.

3-position recline and lift
A 3-position Pride lift chair moves the back and footrest together. You can stop anywhere in that travel. You cannot raise the feet while the back stays upright. That independent travel is the Pride Essential LC-107 or a VivaLift.
Pride prints an integrated battery backup. The 9-volt cells are not included. Heat and massage and a footrest extension are optional on Pride's 2023 catalog. Pride says the USB port is not available when heat and massage is selected.

Pride's August 2023 Canada catalog prints the LC-450C as Medium, 5'4" to 5'9", seat-to-floor 20" (50.8 cm), seat 20" wide by 20" deep, back 27" (68.6 cm), 18" (45.7 cm) from the wall, 37" (94.0 cm) overall, 119 lbs (54.0 kg). Measurements may vary by about 1 inch (2.5 cm).

The LC-450 is the medium-only classic Elegance with a 20" seat and a removable chaise. The LC-570 is the same collection with Small, Medium, and Large. The VivaLift Elegance 2 is Pride's current Elegance name and is infinite-position.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Elegance collection, Canada only, is lifetime limited on the steel lift frame and 7-year pro-rated limited on the motor, hand control, transformer, heat pad, massage unit, and scissor. Years 1 to 4 are repair or replace. Years 5 to 7 follow Pride's printed 25, 15, and 5 percent schedule. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 375 lb rating voids the warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
