Joerns UltraCare XT Hospital Bed

The UltraCare XT is Joerns Healthcare's higher-capacity full-electric hospital bed. Westin Healthcare sells the 2026 grounded Advanced frames and delivers them for homes and care rooms in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The AdvanceCare pendant moves the back, the knee, and the height, and it has Comfort Chair, AutoContour, AutoTransfer Height, lockout, and 30 and 45 degree pauses.

Joerns' 2026 UltraCare XT sheet (6180062 RevI) and the product page print a 600 lb operating capacity and a 650 lb safe working load. Stay at or under 600 lb. The 650 lb figure is the safe working load, which includes the person, the mattress, and anything else on the bed. The sleep deck travels from 7 to 30 in. The standard surface is 35 x 80 in. Overall length on the 80 in deck is 85.5 in. Frame weight is 220 lb on roll-in-low, 247 lb with UltraLock at one end, and 274 lb with UltraLock at both ends.

Who this bed is for

This bed is for a person who needs a hospital-style bed at home or in a care room and wants Joerns' higher-capacity tubular frame with AdvanceCare on the pendant. Families usually call us when someone is coming home from hospital, when a regular bed has become hard to get in and out of, or when a therapist has asked for a 7 inch transfer height and a 600 lb operating capacity.

Roll-in-low or UltraLock

Roll-in-low (XTRIL80GRA) rolls when the deck is at 7 in. You lock the casters to keep it still. UltraLock is Joerns' roll-at-any-height lock. XTULF80GRA puts UltraLock at the foot. XTULHF80GRA puts UltraLock at the head and the foot. Joerns says not to roll the bed over a threshold with someone in it. The bed is not a transport device.

All three SKUs are the grounded Advanced 35 x 80 in frame. Width to 42 in and length to 84 or 88 in are Joerns kits, ordered separately.

What you get

AdvanceCare is standard on these 2026 SKUs. Staff control, Gravity Assist, Trendelenburg, SafeLight, and the N111 battery are Joerns options, not in the carton.

Rails and mattress

These SKUs are frames. Joerns assist devices sourced for UltraCare XT include F026, F028, and F17. A mattress is ordered separately. Match the mattress to the 35 x 80 in deck. Rails are a reminder, not a restraint.

Funding help for a hospital bed in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds. The provincial ADP page lists hospital beds and mattresses under equipment it does not cover. OHIP does not reimburse this purchase. Ontario Health atHome (310-2222) and March of Dimes Canada can help some low-income applicants. Veterans Affairs Canada, WSIB, ODSP discretionary benefits, and private insurance are the other common routes. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week. How to buy, delivery and setup

The price is the frame you pick. HST is extra. Rails, a mattress, and panels are added when you order unless the page says they ship with that SKU. Westin's own team delivers and sets up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the pendant before we leave.

You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you would rather see a bed first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to our hospital bed rental service. Purchased beds are delivered on a scheduled date.

Service and warranty

When something on the bed needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Joerns' UltraCare XT spec covers electrical parts for 5 years, the frame for 15 years, and welds for the lifetime of the product, for the original purchaser. We handle the claim with you.
