The Pride Jazzy Carbon is Pride Mobility's JAZZY CARBON folding power wheelchair. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a carbon fibre travel chair that folds in one piece. The person drives with the joystick.
Pride lists a 300 lb rating, speeds up to 3.7 mph (6.0 km/h), a 24 inch turning radius, and up to 9.3 miles (15.0 km) per charge on the 24V 12Ah (288Wh) lithium-ion battery. The chair weighs 39 lbs without the battery and 43.6 lbs with it. It folds. It does not come apart into a stack of frame pieces.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who fits Pride's 17 by 17 inch seat, stays at or under the 300 lb rating, and wants a folder that one person can lift into a trunk. Families usually call us when a Go Chair's five-piece split is more handling than they want, or when they need Pride's 288Wh lithium pack for travel days.

Design and build
Pride builds the frame in carbon fibre. Drive is two 24V / 250W brushless motors. Electronics are a 35A Brushless Micon. Brakes are regenerative and electromechanical. Front suspension sits on the 7 inch front wheels. Drive wheels are 8.5 inch solid. Pride prints a 2 inch ground clearance.
The seat is 17 by 17 inches: a padded back, a solid seat pan, and a removable cushion. Seat-to-ground is 19 inches. Seat-to-floor is 20.75 inches with the cushion and 18.75 inches without. The foot platform height is 14.5 inches with no adjustment. A removable joystick carries a USB charger. Free-wheel levers let a helper push the folded or unfolded chair like a manual chair. Under-seat storage and an adjustable lap belt come with the chair.
The compact base folds and unfolds in a few steps. Pride's how-to-travel page says it unfolds with one hand. Folded size on Pride's feature list is 28.3 by 12.2 by 24 inches. Pride says the unit folds and does not disassemble.

Pride lists a 300 lb capacity, a 24 inch turning radius, up to 3.7 mph (Canada table 6.0 km/h), overall length 37 inches, overall width 24 inches, and up to 9.3 miles (15.0 km) per charge. Battery is 24V 12Ah (288Wh) lithium-ion, about 4 lbs, with a 2-amp lithium-ion off-board charger. Total weight is 39 lbs without batteries (brochure base 39.6 lbs) and 43.6 lbs with batteries.
Do not mix these numbers with the Jazzy Ultra Light. That chair is Pride model JZULIGHTMS, 18 by 18 mesh, 33.19 inch turn, and a 10Ah or 20Ah 25.2V pack. Do not mix them with Jazzy Carbon 27, 27X, or HD.
Warranty for the original purchaser is Pride's lifetime limited term on the frame and 1-year limited terms on electronics, drive motors, and batteries. The brochure also names the electrical control / lever system, motor / drive system, and bearing sleeve under that 1-year term.
Colour and add-on options
Use Colors to pick the finish Pride is supplying on your order. Pride Canada prints that the chair is sold in white in Canada, and that black product photos are for display.
Use Choose Addons if you want a second 12Ah lithium-ion battery or the Stealth Simplicity cushion kit in 17 by 17 inch. Pride also catalogs a travel bag kit, a battery bag, a headrest, and an attendant control. Ask us if you need those parts.
Funding help for a power wheelchair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a power wheelchair when the need is long-term and the chair is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every chair qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Jazzy Carbon spec table, warranty page, brochure, and Canada card print a lifetime limited term on the frame and a 1-year limited term on electronics, drive motors, and batteries for the original purchaser. Gradual battery wear from storage, cold, or heavy use is outside the battery term. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

How far will the Jazzy Carbon go on one charge?
Pride prints up to 9.3 miles (15.0 km) per charge on the 12Ah, 288Wh pack. Pride's footnotes say range changes with user weight, terrain, battery charge, battery condition, and tire condition. Plan a shorter day than 15 km if the person is near 300 lbs or the route is not flat.
What battery and charger does it use?
Pride specifies a 24V 12Ah (288Wh) lithium-ion battery, about 4 lbs, and a 2-amp lithium-ion off-board charger. Charge it off the chair. A second 12Ah pack is an add-on if you want a spare on the charger.
Does it fold, or does it come apart?
It folds. Pride says the compact base folds and unfolds in a few steps and does not disassemble. Folded size on Pride's feature list is 28.3 by 12.2 by 24 inches. Free-wheel levers let a helper push it when the motors are off.
What is the indoor turning radius?
Pride lists 24 inches. Overall width is 24 inches. That is tighter than the Jazzy Ultra Light's 33.19 inch turn.
Who drives the Jazzy Carbon?
The person in the seat, using the joystick. The joystick comes off for transport and can charge a phone on the USB port. A helper can push in free-wheel.
What is the weight capacity?
Pride lists 300 lbs on Jazzy Carbon. Stay at or under that rating. The seat is 17 by 17 inches only.
Will it fit in a car trunk?
Pride's how-to-travel page says it folds nearly flat and fits most sedan and SUV trunks. We can show you the fold at delivery.
Can it go on a plane or a cruise?
Pride describes the 288Wh lithium battery as airline-compliant and notes that the FAA allows lithium batteries of 300Wh or less. Pride still says transport on a commercial aircraft is subject to federal regulations and airline policy, and that you should consult the airline before the flight. If the battery stays on the chair it must be protected from other baggage. If it comes off, cover the terminals and take it as carry-on. For a cruise, Pride says to research the line ahead of time.
What is the warranty?
Pride prints a lifetime limited term on the frame and 1 year on electronics, motors, and batteries. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.

Can I rent a power wheelchair before I buy?
Westin Healthcare rents some power wheelchairs. The live rental page is a different chair. Ask us whether a Jazzy Carbon can go out as a rental for your dates. Purchased chairs are delivered on a scheduled date.
