Description
The JAY LitePro cushion is Sunrise Medical's current lightweight wheelchair cushion for Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The live card prints 2 lbs (0.9 kg), a 2 inch (51 mm) profile, widths and depths from 14 to 20 inches (36 to 51 cm), and a 330 lb (150 kg) rating. Canada lists LitePro as new. It replaces the retired JAY Lite Cushion.
Sunrise writes LitePro as one of the lightest, lowest-profile adjustable skin protection cushions, with a multi-zone elastomer insert for highly active self-propellers. This is a quote-only size. A seating therapist confirms width and depth before we order.
Who this cushion is for
The JAY LitePro cushion fits a person who wants a 2 inch skin-protection seat without the bulk of a 4 inch Fusion or Ion. Stay here when the therapist wants an elastomer insert, not air cells and not JAY Flow. A seating therapist should confirm LitePro versus the JAY X2 Cushion or the JAY Ion Cushion if sitting time is long or the person is near 330 lbs.
- 2 lbs (0.9 kg) and 2 inches (51 mm)
- Multi-zone elastomer insert, up to 1.6 in (40 mm) of immersion
- 330 lb (150 kg) rating
Elastomer insert, pods, and microclimate
The JAY LitePro cushion has two parts. A contoured multi-layer closed-cell foam base holds posture and keeps the weight down. A seamless multi-zone elastomer insert sits in the well. Sunrise prints up to 1.6 inches (40 mm) of immersion and interchangeable pressure-management pods for mild obliquity. The AirExchange mesh top, perforated foam, and horizontal and vertical cooling channels are the microclimate stack. The outer cover has durable side bands and a PVC-free non-slip mesh.
Sunrise prints 45 percent better humidity transfer than a traditional air cushion, and more than twice the stability of a traditional air cushion. Those are maker test lines. A seating therapist still owns the skin-care plan.
JAY LitePro Cushion specifications
These figures are from Sunrise Medical's current LitePro card. The specification tab holds the stored values. We do not invent a size picker on this page.
Height 2 inches (51 mm). Width 14 to 20 inches (36 to 51 cm). Depth 14 to 20 inches (36 to 51 cm). Product weight 2 lbs (0.9 kg). User weight capacity 330 lbs (150 kg). Base: contoured multi-layer closed-cell foam. Insert: multi-zone elastomer with interchangeable pods. Outer cover: AirExchange microclimate. JAY Your Way modifications are available.
The LitePro owner's manual prints 24 months on the foam base and the multizone elastomer insert, for the original purchaser.
Width and depth
A seating therapist measures hip width in sitting and names a 14 to 20 inch width and depth. Westin orders that size. There is no drop-down on this page.
Which JAY wheelchair cushion fits
The JAY LitePro cushion is the current lightweight JAY. Stay here for a 2 inch elastomer seat. The JAY Lite Cushion is the retired foam predecessor; do not order a Lite as a current Sunrise product. The JAY X2 Cushion is the 2.25 inch fluid step. The JAY Ion Cushion is 4 inch foam. The JAY Fusion Cushion is the adjustable fluid, air, or Cryo family. The JAY GO Cushion is milder dual-layer foam.
Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario
This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers this wheelchair cushion across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check the size against the chair, and show you the AirExchange cover and the insert orientation before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a JAY cushion first. For a scheduled in-home drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased cushions are delivered on a scheduled date.
If the cushion is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the cushion needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Sunrise Medical JAY warranty
The JAY LitePro owner's manual prints 24 months on the foam base and the multizone elastomer insert, for the original purchaser. Punctures, tears, and burns sit outside that term. Sunrise notes that Canadian terms can follow provincial funding rules. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
