Description
The Ezee Life 20 inch tilt shower commode HL195 is Healthline's wide aluminum attendant-tilt rehab chair for homes and clinics in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The attendant tilts the seat 20° posterior. Ezee Life rates the HL195 at 325 lb (148 kg).
This is the 20 in member of the Ezee Life HL tilt ladder. The 18 in chair is the HL190. The 15 in chair is the HL155. For a 40° stainless tilt, use the Raz AT.
Who this tilt shower commode is for
This chair is for a person who needs an attendant to push and tilt an aluminum shower commode, stays at or under 325 lb, and needs a 20 in by 17 in seat. Families here usually call when the 18 in HL190 is too narrow and a rust-resistant tilt chair will cover shower, bedside, and over-toilet use.
Healthline writes the 195 as the wide tilt in the same aluminum rehab family as the 190. That is the family map. Westin does not give medical advice.
- 20° posterior tilt on an aluminum frame
- 20 in by 17 in (51 by 43 cm) seat, 325 lb (148 kg)
- Four 5 in locking casters; optional 24 in rear wheels
Tilt, height, and toilet clearance
Ezee Life's tilt-rehab brochure prints a 20° posterior tilt on the 155, 190, and 195. That is the maker table. Seat and back tilt together. The headrest moves up, down, forward, and back.
Seat height is 21, 22, or 23 in (53, 56, or 58 cm) on standard casters. Toilet clearance (pail rail to floor) is 18, 19, or 20 in (46, 48, or 51 cm). Long-stem casters raise both bands by 2 in. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want the bowl checked on the floor.
- Chair weight 38 lb (17.3 kg) on four 5 in casters
- 48.5 lb (22 kg) with the 24 in self-propel wheels
- Overall width 24 in (61 cm) on casters, 29 in (74 cm) on 24 in wheels
Design and build
The frame is aluminum. Ezee Life prints "NO RUST" on the family brochure. Seat, back, and arm pads are moulded foam. Arms flip back. Footrests swing away, 14 to 20 in (36 to 51 cm), 60° hangers. Anti-tippers and a seat belt are on the standard-features list. Adjustments are tool-free. A slide-on pail and a removable seat insert ship with the chair.
Rear wheels and seat options
Use Rear Wheel Options to pick 5 in Rear Casters or 24 in Rear Wheels. The 24 in pair is the self-propel build.
Use Seat Options to pick Standard Open Front Seat or Optional Closed Front Seat. Ezee Life prints the 4-way seat for 18 in commodes only, so it is not on the HL195.

Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
