Construction and how it works
The Geo-Matt Contour is a non-powered seat cushion. Span cuts a Geo-Matt segmented top so each cell can follow the person and help reduce pressure, heat, and moisture. Under that top, a firmer contoured foundation holds pelvic bucketing, contoured leg channels, and abduction and adduction build-up. Span writes that this base helps discourage slouching and assists with placing the femurs and pelvis.
The retail anti-slip cover has an anti-slip top and a non-skid bottom. Span also offers a deluxe Cordura nylon cover with a stretch fabric top and a Durafilm coating on the 16 by 16 and 18 by 16 inch deluxe codes. The bottom of the anti-slip cover has a sewn sleeve for Span's molded Sling-Fill base. That insert is sold separately. It fills the hammock in a fabric sling seat and gives the cushion a flat, rigid foundation.

Which wheelchairs this cushion fits
Span publishes the Geo-Matt Contour in wheelchair seat widths of 16, 18, and 20 inches, with seat depths of 16 or 18 inches on the printed pairs (16 by 16, 18 by 16, 18 by 18, and 20 by 18 inches). Choose the width that matches the seat sling or seat pan. Span does not name a wheelchair brand or model. Tell us the measured seat width and depth and we will lock the matching code.
Anti-slip covers with the -96 suffix have a sewn sleeve for Span's molded Sling-Fill base. Span writes that the insert fills the gap created by a fabric sling and creates a flat, rigid foundation. The insert is one size and is not included with the cushion. Ask us to add Sling-Fill (2SFB) to the quote when the chair has a hammocked sling seat.
