Description

The Gemino 30 rollator is Sunrise Medical's original 100% 4 wheel walker with a seat. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the award-winning Gemino: red dot and iF recognition, three sizes, and the longer accessory list.

Sunrise Canada's 2020 Gemino catalog rates the standard Gemino 30 at 331 lb (150 kg) and 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket. Medium is 287 lb (130 kg) and 15.4 lb. Small is 276 lb (125 kg) and 14.5 lb. Every size uses 8 x 1.4 in (20 x 3.6 cm) wheels.

Who this rollator is for

This rollator is for a person who wants a light 4-wheel walker with a seat, stays at or under the size's weight rating, and wants the Gemino 30's colour and accessory range. Families usually call us when they have already seen the Gemino 20 and want the fuller line, or when they want a bag, back support, and a night light on the same frame.

If you want the same sizes at the value trim, see the Gemino 20 rollator. If walking is interrupted by freezing, see the Gemino 30 Parkinson. If you want forearm troughs, see the Gemino 30 Walker. For a Canadian aluminium rollator we already stock, see the Drive Nitro Sprint or the Evolution Xpresso Lite.

  • Three sizes from 30 S (seat 19 in) to standard (seat 24 in)
  • Height memory, fold-and-click, and six reflectors
  • Catalog colours Silver grey, Champagne, Midnight blue, and Pink

Fit and height

Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed. Sunrise sets the Gemino 30 handles with a memory function so the grips return to the same height after a fold. Standard handles run 31-39 in (79-99 cm) for users about 4 ft 11 in to 6 ft 7 in. Medium 27-35 in (69-89 cm) for about 4 ft 5 in to 5 ft 7 in. Small 26-30 in (66-76 cm) for about 4 ft 1 in to 5 ft 5 in.

Seat height is 24 in (61 cm) standard, 22 in (56 cm) Medium, 19 in (48 cm) Small. Ask us to match the size before we order. There is no size picker on the order yet.

Wheels, brakes, and folding

The Gemino 30 uses 8 x 1.4 in wheels front and rear. Sunrise prints kick tubes for curbs and sills, protective side bumpers, and six integrated reflectors. An optional light is on the accessory list for night walking.

Loop brakes sit on the push handles. A one-hand brake that works both sides is a catalog accessory, not standard. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. The fold-and-click system folds the frame to 9 in wide. Sunrise says you can still steer in tight places with the frame partly folded.

Weight and portability

Standard weighs 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket, 16.3 lb with it. Medium 15.4 lb (16.1 lb with basket). Small 14.5 lb (15 lb with basket). Folded width is 9 in (23 cm). The catalog basket is rated at 11 lb (5 kg). Do not use the rollator as a wheelchair.

Gemino 30 rollator specifications

These figures are for the Gemino 30, 30 M, and 30 S as printed in Sunrise Medical Canada's 2020 Gemino catalog technical table. The specification tab holds the stored values. The CA product page copies a Gemino 20 length row by mistake; we use the catalog 26 / 26 / 27 in lengths.

Standard: 24 in wide, 26 in long, 331 lb rating, seat 24 in, handles 31-39 in, turn 33 in. Medium: 24 x 26 in, 287 lb, seat 22 in, handles 27-35 in. Small: 22 x 27 in, 276 lb, seat 19 in, handles 26-30 in. Width between the centres of the push handles is 19 in on Standard and Medium, 17 in on Small. Catalog colours: Silver grey, Champagne, Midnight blue, Pink.

Warranty coverage on the CA product card may vary from one province to another depending on funding requirements. Ask us which term ships with your rollator.

Gemino 30 or another Gemino

The Gemino 30 is the original rollator in the line. The Gemino 20 is the value trim with the same sizes. The Gemino 60 uses 11 in front wheels for uneven ground. The Gemino 30 Parkinson adds a reverse brake, a slowdown brake, and a button-activated laser line. The Gemino 30 Walker swaps the grips for adjustable forearm supports.

Among rollators we already stock, the Drive Nitro Sprint is the 10 in 4-wheel Nitro, and the Evolution Piper is the narrow 8 in aluminium Piper.

Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, unfold it, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a 4 wheel walker first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty

When something on the rollator needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Sunrise Medical Gemino warranty

Sunrise Medical Canada's Gemino 30 card says warranty coverage may vary from one province to another depending on funding requirements. We handle the claim with you. Ask us which term ships with your rollator, and whether an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Frequently asked questions

How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?

The Gemino 30 standard handles adjust from 31-39 in (79-99 cm). Stand in walking shoes and match a comfortable push height to the 30, 30 M, or 30 S range. Seat height is 24, 22, or 19 in.

Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?

The Gemino 30 is a rollator: four wheels, loop brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose the Gemino 30 when the person can steer and squeeze brakes and wants to sit for a rest. Do not use it as a wheelchair.

Does ADP Cover Rollators?

Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.

How Much Does the Gemino 30 Weigh?

The Gemino 30 standard weighs 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket on Sunrise Canada's 2020 catalog. Medium weighs 15.4 lb. Small weighs 14.5 lb.

What Is the Weight Capacity of the Gemino 30?

The Gemino 30 standard is rated at 331 lb (150 kg). Medium is 287 lb (130 kg). Small is 276 lb (125 kg). Stay at or under the rating for the size we order.

What Accessories Fit the Gemino 30?

Sunrise's Gemino 30 accessory list includes a bag, back support, seat cushion, light, tray, cane holder, one-hand brake, IV pole, and umbrella. Ask us which accessories we can put on your order.

Will a Lightweight Folding Walker Fit in a Car?

The Gemino 30 folds to 9 in wide. Standard folded height is 31 in. Many caregivers can lift the 15.7 lb frame into a trunk after the fold.

Can I Use the Gemino 30 Outdoors?

The Gemino 30 uses 8 in wheels Sunrise rates with kick tubes for curbs and sills. For extra-large soft wheels on uneven ground, see the Gemino 60.

How Is the Gemino 30 Different From the Nitro Sprint?

The Gemino 30 is Sunrise's 8 in European rollator in three sizes. The Drive Nitro Sprint is Drive's 10 in 4-wheel Nitro with Hemi, Standard, and Tall seats. They are separate brands. We stock the Nitro today and quote the Gemino 30 to order.

What Colours Can I Order?

Sunrise Canada's 2020 catalog lists Silver grey, Champagne, Midnight blue, and Pink for the Gemino 30. Small drops Champagne. Ask us which colour we can put on your order.
