Description
The Gemino 20 rollator is Sunrise Medical's lightweight 4 wheel walker with a seat. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the value Gemino: the same side-fold frame family as the Gemino 30, in three sizes, without the extra colour and accessory story.
Sunrise Canada's 2020 Gemino catalog rates the standard Gemino 20 at 331 lb (150 kg) and 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket. Medium is 287 lb (130 kg) and 15.4 lb. Small is 276 lb (125 kg) and 14.5 lb. Every size uses 8 x 1.4 in (20 x 3.6 cm) wheels.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who wants a light 4-wheel walker with a seat, stays at or under the size's weight rating, and fits the handle and seat height of the 20, 20 M, or 20 S. Families usually call us when a steel rollator feels heavy to lift into a car, and they still want an 8 in wheel and a fold that clicks shut.
If you want more colours and the fuller accessory list, start with the Gemino 30 rollator. If you walk on rough ground, see the Gemino 60 rollator. For a Canadian aluminium rollator we already stock, see the Drive Nitro Sprint or the Evolution Xpresso Lite.
- Three sizes from 20 S (seat 19 in) to standard (seat 24 in)
- A one-step side fold that locks, 9 in folded width
- A 331 lb rating on the standard frame
Fit and height
Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed. Sunrise sets the Gemino 20 handles so they can sit at a comfortable push height, with a memory mark so the grips return to the same hole after a fold. Standard handles run 31-39 in (79-99 cm) for users about 4 ft 11 in to 6 ft 7 in. Medium 27-35 in (69-89 cm) for about 4 ft 5 in to 5 ft 7 in. Small 26-30 in (66-76 cm) for about 4 ft 1 in to 5 ft 5 in.
Seat height is separate. Standard sits at 24 in (61 cm), Medium at 22 in (56 cm), Small at 19 in (48 cm). Ask us to match the size to the person before we order. There is no size picker on the order yet.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Gemino 20 uses 8 x 1.4 in wheels front and rear. That is a Type 3 outdoor size of tyre, not a 5 in indoor glide. Sunrise prints kick tubes for curbs and door sills, side bumpers so the rear wheels are less likely to catch on furniture, and six integrated reflectors.
Loop brakes sit on the push handles. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. The unique fold-and-click system folds the frame to 9 in wide. Sunrise says you can still steer in tight places with the frame partly folded. Drop the grips to the lowest hole if you need the smallest stored height.
Weight and portability
Standard weighs 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket, 16.3 lb with it, on the 2020 catalog. Medium 15.4 lb (16.1 lb with basket). Small 14.5 lb (15 lb with basket). Folded width is 9 in (23 cm). That is light enough for many caregivers to lift into a trunk after the fold. It is not a one-piece travel suitcase.
The catalog basket is rated at 11 lb (5 kg). Do not use the rollator as a wheelchair. Sunrise's Gemino line is a walking aid with a rest seat.
Gemino 20 rollator specifications
These figures are for the Gemino 20, 20 M, and 20 S as printed in Sunrise Medical Canada's 2020 Gemino catalog technical table. The specification tab holds the stored values. The older CAMKT001A sheet prints slightly higher unit weights; we use the catalog.
Standard: 24 in wide, 26 in long, 331 lb rating, seat 24 in, handles 31-39 in, turn 33 in, 15.7 lb without basket. Medium: 24 in wide, 26 in long, 287 lb, seat 22 in, handles 27-35 in, 15.4 lb. Warranty coverage on the CA product card may vary from one province to another depending on funding requirements. Ask us which term ships with your rollator.
Gemino 20 or Gemino 30
The Gemino 20 is the lighter-priced Gemino with the same 8 in wheels, three sizes, and fold-and-click frame. The Gemino 30 is the original 100% rollator in the line, with more frame colours and the longer accessory list. The Gemino 60 steps up to 11 in front wheels for uneven ground. For a Parkinson-specific brake and laser cue, see the Gemino 30 Parkinson.
Among rollators we already stock, the Drive Nitro Sprint is the 10 in 4-wheel Nitro, and the Evolution Xpresso Lite is the 15 lb centre-folding Canadian X-frame.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, unfold it, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a 4 wheel walker first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
The Gemino 20 standard handles adjust from 31-39 in (79-99 cm). Stand in walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match a comfortable push height to the 20, 20 M, or 20 S range. Seat height is a separate number: 24, 22, or 19 in.
Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
The Gemino 20 is a rollator: four wheels, loop brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose the Gemino 20 when the person can steer and squeeze brakes and wants to sit for a rest. Do not use it as a wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
How Much Does the Gemino 20 Weigh?
The Gemino 20 standard weighs 15.7 lb (7.1 kg) without the basket on Sunrise Canada's 2020 catalog. Medium weighs 15.4 lb. Small weighs 14.5 lb. Add about 0.6 lb for the basket on Standard.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Gemino 20?
The Gemino 20 standard is rated at 331 lb (150 kg). Medium is 287 lb (130 kg). Small is 276 lb (125 kg). Stay at or under the rating for the size we order.
Will a Lightweight Folding Walker Fit in a Car?
The Gemino 20 folds to 9 in wide. Standard folded height is 31 in. Many caregivers can lift the 15.7 lb frame into a trunk after the fold. We can walk through the fold at delivery.
Can I Use the Gemino 20 Outdoors?
The Gemino 20 uses 8 in wheels Sunrise rates with kick tubes for curbs and sills. It is a Type 3 size of tyre, not a 5 in indoor-only wheel. Lock the brakes before you sit.
Is the Gemino 20 a Narrow Rollator for Small Spaces?
The Gemino 20 Small is 22 in (56 cm) wide on the catalog. Standard and Medium are 24 in (61 cm). Folded width is 9 in. Turning radius is 33 in on Standard and Medium, 31 in on Small.
How Is the Gemino 20 Different From the Gemino 30?
The Gemino 20 shares the Gemino 30's sizes, 8 in wheels, and fold. Sunrise presents the 20 as the value Gemino. The 30 adds more frame colours and the longer accessory list.
What Colours Can I Order?
Sunrise Canada's 2020 catalog lists Grey for the Gemino 20. Ask us which colour we can put on your order.
