Description
The Interstate GEL0055 is a 12 V 50 Ah pure gel deep-cycle battery in the group 22NF size. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and can swap it in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Interstate's own datasheet prints 50.0 Ah at the 20-hour rate, not 55 Ah. Most mobility devices that take this box run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V, so you usually buy two and replace both at the same time.
Who this battery is for
This is Interstate gel, not AGM and not the DCM0055. Use it when the old cell is gel or when the device maker names gel. Quantum names gel on several NF-22 bases (Edge 3, Q6 Edge 2.0, Stretto). It is not a U1 and it is not a group 24.

Gel vs AGM battery for a scooter
Interstate prints the GEL0055 as Pure Gel, lead-acid gel, and says it delivers two times the cycle life of standard AGM. Gel wants a gel-capable charger. The DCM0055 is Interstate's Deep Cycle Mobility 55 Ah sibling. The MK gel 22NF is the 8G22NF at 51 Ah (20 hr). Do not mix gel and AGM in one 24 V pair.
Interstate's FAQ says mobility scooters typically run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V, and both must share the same Ah rating. Westin sells the GEL0055 as a single 12 V battery. Order two.

GEL0055, DCM0055, or MK gel: which sibling fits
Stay on gel if the old cell is gel. Interstate's 55 Ah mobility cell is the DCM0055. Interstate's general-purpose 55 Ah 22NF is the SLA1165. MK's gel 22NF is the 8G22NF at 51 Ah and 9.26 in tall, a taller case than the GEL0055.

The Interstate GEL0055 is 50.0 Ah at the 20-hour rate on Interstate's own datasheet. The 55 Ah figure belongs to DCM0055 and SLA1165, not to this gel cell.
Gel Vs AGM Battery For A Scooter?
Interstate prints the GEL0055 as pure gel with two times the cycle life of standard AGM, and says gel can take deep discharges. AGM is a different Interstate family (DCM). Match the old chemistry and use a gel-capable charger on gel.
