Description
The Golden Buzzaround LT scooter is the lightest 3-wheel travel scooter in Golden's Buzzaround line. Westin Healthcare delivers and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Golden rates the GB107 at 300 lbs (136 kg), 4 mph (6.4 km/h), and 7 miles (11.3 km) per charge at 200 lbs. The heaviest piece after it comes apart is 28 lbs (12.7 kg). It is a compact indoor and light outdoor scooter, not a folding airline scooter and not a rough-terrain machine.
Who this scooter is for
This scooter is for a person who wants the smallest Buzzaround, can stay at or under 300 lbs, and needs a piece light enough for a partner to lift into a car trunk. Families usually call us when a full-size EX or LX is more scooter than the hallway or the sedan can take.
If you want more range and a 3.5 inch deck, start with the Buzzaround XL 3-Wheel. If you need the scooter to fold flat for a flight, see the Buzzaround CarryOn. The LT does not fold.
- 300 lb (136 kg) rating
- 7 miles (11.3 km) at 200 lbs on two 12 AH batteries
- 28 lb (12.7 kg) heaviest piece
Range, speed, and batteries
Golden's current LT sell sheet rates the GB107 at up to 7 miles (11.3 km) per charge at 200 lbs (91 kg), and 4 mph (6.4 km/h). Range falls as rider weight, hills, cold, and stop-start driving rise. The pack is two 12 AH batteries on an off-board charger. Golden asks for a 12 hour first charge on a new pack, then 6 to 8 hours after daily use, overnight when you can.
A 50 amp controller and rear-wheel drive move the LT. Freewheel mode lets a helper push it. Electro-mechanical brakes hold it when you release the throttle.
Portability and transport
The Buzzaround LT 3-wheel travel scooter comes apart into five pieces. Golden lists the front half at 28 lbs (12.7 kg), the rear half at 20.5 lbs (9.3 kg), the seat at 19 lbs (8.6 kg), and the battery pack at 17.5 lbs (7.9 kg). Assembled weight is 85.5 lbs (38.8 kg). Width is 19 to 21 inches (48 to 53 cm), so most interior doors are fine.
It is built for a car trunk, not a cargo hold. The batteries are sealed 12 AH units. Golden does not call the LT airline-friendly. If the trip is a flight or a cruise, look at the CarryOn instead.

LT, EX, LX, XL, or XLS: which Buzzaround fits
LT is the lightest step on Golden's Buzzaround ladder: 300 lbs, 7 miles, 28 lb front half. The XL 3-Wheel stays at 300 lbs but adds a 3.5 inch deck and 10 miles on 12 AH, or 18 miles with the XR pack. The EX 3-Wheel moves to two U1 batteries, 350 lbs, 5 mph, and 18 miles. The LX 3-Wheel is the luxury trim at 375 lbs with a quilted high-back. The XLS HD is the 325 lb four-wheel with spring suspension. A 3-wheel turns tighter; a 4-wheel tracks straighter outdoors.
Funding help for a mobility scooter in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a mobility scooter when the need is long-term and the scooter is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every scooter qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this scooter across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the tiller, charger, and freewheel lever before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a Buzzaround LT first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased scooters are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This mobility scooter does not use the Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods. If the scooter is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the scooter needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Golden manufacturer warranty
Golden's printed LT terms are lifetime limited on the frame, 2 years on the drive train, 2 years on electronics, and 1 year on the batteries. Wear items such as tires and shrouds sit outside that term. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
How far can a mobility scooter go?
The Golden Buzzaround LT scooter travels up to 7 miles (11.3 km) per charge at 200 lbs (91 kg) on Golden's current sell sheet. Heavier riders, hills, and cold weather shorten that figure.
How long does a mobility scooter take to charge?
The Golden Buzzaround LT uses an off-board charger. Golden asks for 12 hours on a new pack, then 6 to 8 hours after daily use, overnight when you can.
Can I take a mobility scooter on a plane?
The Golden Buzzaround LT uses sealed 12 AH batteries and is not presented by Golden as an airline scooter. For a flight, start with the Buzzaround CarryOn and still confirm the airline's battery rules.
Can you use a mobility scooter in the rain?
The Golden Buzzaround LT owner manual says not to climb a slope covered with snow, ice, salt, cut grass, or wet grass, and the 6 degree incline limit still applies. It is not an all-weather outdoor scooter.
Does ADP cover scooters?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a power scooter when a long-term need is confirmed through an ADP-registered therapist and an ADP-registered vendor. Westin Healthcare walks that route with you. A scooter bought before those steps is not reimbursed.
What is the difference between a 3-wheel and a 4-wheel scooter?
A 3-wheel Buzzaround such as the LT turns in 39 inches (99 cm) and threads indoor aisles more easily. A 4-wheel sibling adds a second front wheel for a steadier outdoor track and a larger turning circle. Capacity and range still follow the trim, not the wheel count alone.
What is the heaviest piece on the Buzzaround LT?
The Golden Buzzaround LT heaviest piece is the 28 lb (12.7 kg) front half. The rear half is 20.5 lbs (9.3 kg) and the battery pack is 17.5 lbs (7.9 kg).
Does the Buzzaround LT fold?
The Golden Buzzaround LT does not fold. It disassembles into five pieces for a car trunk. The folding scooter in this line is the CarryOn.
What is the weight capacity?
The Golden Buzzaround LT is rated at 300 lbs (136 kg). Stay at or under that figure.
Will it fit through a doorway?
The Golden Buzzaround LT is 19 to 21 inches (48 to 53 cm) wide. A typical interior door is about 32 inches, so the LT is built for indoor halls as well as sidewalks.
