Description
The Medline Drop-Arm Commode with Wheels G1-303DWX1 is Medline's steel commode chair for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It has drop arms and four locking casters. Medline rates it at 300 lb (136 kg).
This is the clip-on-seat commode with a removable backrest bar. Medline-channel cards print a 3 inch (7.6 cm) caster and a seat height of 18.25 to 22.25 inches (46 to 56.5 cm). The aluminum shower sibling is the Medline G1-504WCPX1.
Who this commode is for
The Medline G1-303DWX1 is for a person who wants a steel drop-arm commode chair, stays at or under Medline's 300 lb rating, and wants all four casters to lock. Families here usually call when they want the back bar off so the frame can sit around a toilet, or when they want the pail in the bedroom.
- Painted steel, clip-on seat and lid, 23 lb (10.4 kg)
- Four locking casters. Drop-arm release button
- 300 lb (136 kg). Seat height 18.25 to 22.25 in (46 to 56.5 cm)
Casters, locks, and over-toilet use
Medline's G1-303DWX1 booklet says the commode has four locking wheels. Press the lever down to lock. Flip the lever up to unlock. All four wheels must be locked during use. Medline-channel cards print those casters as rust-resistant 3 inch (7.6 cm) swivels.
The backrest bar snaps into the rear of the frame and lifts off. Medline-channel cards print that removable bar for use over a toilet. The official booklet shows the snap-in bar and does not print a clearance number. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want the frame tried around a bowl.
- Four locking casters, 3 in (7.6 cm) on Medline-channel cards
- Backrest bar snaps in and lifts off
- Pail, lid, and splash guard on the channel cards
Drop arms, seat, and assembly
Depress the release button and let the arm drop for a side transfer. Medline says to use the arms only for assistance, not for full body weight, and never to stand on the commode.
The frame ships pre-assembled. Snap the backrest bar in. Clip the seat and the lid onto the back rail, outside the pail brackets. The pail drops into the frame and lifts out. Seat down before use. All four legs must sit at the same push-button height and all four wheels must touch the floor.
