Construction and how it works

This is a mattress replacement. Eighteen 8-inch denier-covered polyurethane cells sit in a foam crib (35-inch cells on the 42-inch mattress, 41-inch cells on the 48-inch mattress). The crib makes 3.5-inch side transfer borders and 3-inch borders at the head and foot. The whole crib is covered in disinfectable nylon.

Pulsation slightly raises then lowers airflow. Static mode is true low air loss with no cell movement. Auto Comfort sets pressure from the person's weight distribution. Auto Firm is for care and transfers. Upright mode adds support under the buttocks when the head of the bed is raised. System Lock stops accidental changes. The top cover is water-resistant, vapour-permeable, flame-resistant, biocompatible, and quilted.
