Description
The Interstate FAS1075 battery is a 12V 7Ah (20-hour) AGM sealed lead-acid cell with F1 .187 in Faston terminals. Interstate lists it as Power Patrol fire-and-security, built for long life on float charge. Westin Healthcare sells the single cell in Brampton and can match the F1 tabs across the Greater Toronto Area.
Who this battery is for
The Interstate FAS1075 sits in the same 5.94 x 2.56 x 3.70 in (151 x 65 x 94 mm) case as the 8Ah SLA1075. Interstate designed Power Patrol for fire and security panels, not as a named stairlift part. Some 24V chairs use two 12V cells of this footprint. Handicare, Savaria, and Access do not print FAS1075 or 7Ah. Match the 7Ah stamp and the F1 tabs on the old cell.
- Use this cell when the old battery is 12V 7Ah F1 in this case, including a fire or security panel that calls for that size
- Choose the Interstate SLA1075 when the old stamp is 8Ah F1
- Choose the Interstate HSL1079 when the old stamp is 9Ah F2
Send a photo to (905) 451-7743 before you treat this as a stairlift cell.
Terminals, chemistry, and size
Interstate's Fire and Security table prints FAS1075 as 12V 7Ah, 5.94 in long, 2.56 in wide, 3.7 in high, 3.94 in including the terminal, F1. The Power Patrol one-pager adds 4.41 lb (2.00 kg), .187 in Faston tabs, float 13.7-13.9V, cycle 14.6-14.8V, 2.1A maximum charge current, and an IATA/DOT "not restricted for any transport" mark. Chemistry is lead acid AGM, VRLA, maintenance-free, made for float-charge devices.
SLA, AGM, gel, and the size ladder
FAS1075 is AGM Power Patrol, not gel. The general-purpose 8Ah F1 twin is the SLA1075. The 9Ah F2 high-rate twin is the HSL1079. Travel-scooter 12Ah cells are wider. Group 22NF gel is the GEL0055.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Interstate FAS1075 battery?
The Interstate FAS1075 is a 12V 7Ah F1 Power Patrol AGM cell for fire and security float service. It shares the 5.94 x 2.56 in case used in some 24V stairlift chairs, but Interstate does not print a chair list.
What is the difference between F1 and F2 terminals?
F1 is .187 in. F2 is .250 in. The Interstate FAS1075 is F1. The HSL1079 in this case is F2.
Is FAS1075 the same as SLA1075?
No. Both are F1 in this case. FAS1075 is 7Ah fire-and-security. SLA1075 is 8Ah general purpose.
Does this fit a Savaria K2 or Handicare Freecurve?
Savaria and Handicare consumer pages do not print FAS1075 or 7Ah. Match the old cell or send a photo. Do not order from the chair name alone.
Do I need two batteries for a stairlift?
A 24V chair uses two 12V batteries in series. The Interstate FAS1075 is sold as one cell. Replace both cells together if you are refitting a chair that already uses this size.
How long do these batteries last?
Interstate describes Power Patrol as made for long life in float charge. It does not print a year figure for stairlift cycling. Replace the pair when runtime falls off.
Can I replace the batteries myself?
Follow the device manual. Fire panels and stairlifts often need a technician. Westin can change a matching pair on a visit. Do not short the F1 tabs.
