Description
The EZ-Access suitcase ramp sold here is the SUITCASE Singlefold: a 2 to 8 ft (0.61 to 2.44 m) portable wheelchair ramp with an extruded slip-resistant tread and an 800 lb (363 kg) rating. Westin Healthcare delivers it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
EZ-ACCESS still sells this line new as the SUITCASE Singlefold Ramp (models SF02 through SF08). Canadian dealer cards still call it the Suitcase Signature Series. It folds once, like a suitcase, and stays the full length when folded. It does not split into two halves. It is a temporary or semi-permanent aid for curbs, one to three steps, or some vehicles.
Who this ramp is for
This suitcase ramp is for a household that wants a one-piece fold, an extruded aluminum tread, and a length between 2 and 8 ft. Families usually call us when they need a car-friendly ramp for a curb, a single step, or a van, and they do not want to manage hinge pins.
If you want a suitcase that splits into two light halves, see the EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold AS Ramp (2 to 6 ft). If you need 7 to 10 ft in a shorter folded pack, see the EZ-Access Suitcase Trifold AS Ramp. If you want a perforated 600 lb fold, see the Drive Single Fold Wheelchair Scooter Ramp.
- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 ft usable length, 30 in (76 cm) usable width
- 800 lb (363 kg) rating for a wheelchair or scooter, as EZ-ACCESS prints it
- One-piece fold: 11 to 47 lb (5.0 to 21.3 kg) depending on length
Length, slope, and surface
Use Size to pick 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 feet. EZ-ACCESS prints usage guidelines, not a hard rise limit: 2 and 3 ft for curbs and 1 step; 4 ft for curbs and 1-2 steps; 5 ft for curbs, 1-2 steps, and some minivans; 6 and 7 ft for 1-3 steps and some minivans and SUVs; 8 ft for 2-3 steps and some minivans and SUVs. Always stay inside the slope the wheelchair or scooter maker allows.
The EZ-ACCESS Incline Calculator treats 1:12 as the ADA Standard and also offers 1:10 (IRC Acceptable), 1:8, and 1:6. The maker says start with the ADA Standard and confirm the ratio with local codes. The printed incline chart is a guideline only. EZ-ACCESS tells you to use this ramp with a qualified helper and a lap belt at any incline.
The walking surface is an extruded slip-resistant tread built into the aluminum. That is the Signature / non-AS surface. Side curbs are typically 2 7/16 in. The top plate is fixed, with holes for pins or screws. The bottom plates self-adjust. The surface may be slippery when wet. Do not use it if ice, snow, dirt, leaves, or debris cover the tread.
Folding and portability
The SUITCASE Singlefold folds once along a continuous no-pinch hinge. Folded length equals usable length: 24 in on the 2 ft, up to 96 in on the 8 ft. Folded width is 15 in (38 cm). Folded height is 4 in (10 cm). Flexible handles sit on the side.
This ramp does not separate. EZ-ACCESS rates the whole unit at 11 lb (5.0 kg) on the 2 ft, 17 lb (7.7 kg) on the 3 ft, 23 lb (10.4 kg) on the 4 ft, 29 lb (13.2 kg) on the 5 ft, 34 lb (15.4 kg) on the 6 ft, 41 lb (18.6 kg) on the 7 ft, and 47 lb (21.3 kg) on the 8 ft. The longer lengths are a two-person lift for many households.
EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp specifications
These figures are for EZ-ACCESS SUITCASE Singlefold models SF02 through SF08 as printed on the current ezaccess.com table and spec sheet SCSF. They are not the Advantage / Singlefold AS two-section weights.
Weight capacity 800 lb (363 kg). Usable width 30 in (76 cm) on every length. Folded width 15 in (38 cm). Folded height 4 in (10 cm). Typical safety curb 2 7/16 in (62 mm). Material welded aluminum with an extruded slip-resistant tread. Warranty for the original purchaser is EZ-ACCESS lifetime limited on parts and components. That term excludes the powder-coated finish and applied non-skid tape (this line uses extruded tread, not applied tape).
Ramp length
Use Size to pick 2 Feet through 8 Feet. That is the same length set as Select Ramp Size. The 2 ft is SF02. The 3 ft is SF03. The 4 ft is SF04. The 5 ft is SF05. The 6 ft is SF06. The 7 ft is SF07. The 8 ft is SF08.
Ask us if you need the SUITCASE Top Lip Extension. That kit lengthens the top lip from 3 in to 9 in. EZ-ACCESS reduces the rating to 500 lb (227 kg) when the TLE is on.
Signature suitcase or Advantage suitcase
The Signature / Singlefold suitcase uses an extruded tread, stays one piece, and goes to 8 ft. The Advantage / Singlefold AS uses an applied black surface, splits into two halves, and stops at 6 ft. Both are 800 lb EZ-ACCESS suitcase ramps. Choose extruded if you want a built-in tread and a longer one-piece fold. Choose AS if you want two lighter carry pieces.
If you need more than 8 ft in a shorter pack, see the SUITCASE Trifold AS. If the rise is only a door sill, start with the Transitions Modular Entry Ramp.
Funding help for a wheelchair ramp in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund ramps, so plan around other routes. The March of Dimes Canada Home and Vehicle Modification Program is the main Ontario funding source for home accessibility changes like ramps, and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Ontario Renovates program in some municipalities, extended health plans, and community organizations can also help. A ramp may also qualify as a home accessibility or medical expense on a Canadian tax return in some situations. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers this ramp across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, show you how it folds and how to place and pin it, and walk through the maker's use notes before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a ramp first. For a scheduled in-home drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased ramps are delivered on a scheduled date.
Longer portable ramps are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the ramp is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the ramp needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
EZ-ACCESS manufacturer warranty
EZ-ACCESS covers the original purchaser for the life of the SUITCASE Singlefold on parts and components. The powder-coated finish sits outside that term. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Length of Ramp Do I Need?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp comes in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 ft. EZ-ACCESS points the 2 and 3 ft at curbs and 1 step, and the 8 ft at 2-3 steps and some minivans and SUVs. Measure the rise, then stay inside the slope the wheelchair or scooter maker allows.
How Steep Can a Wheelchair Ramp Be?
EZ-ACCESS tells Suitcase Singlefold users to follow the mobility equipment owner guide for slope, and its own calculator treats 1:12 as the ADA Standard. Confirm the ratio with local codes. The printed incline chart is a guideline only. Use a qualified helper and a lap belt at any incline.
Do I Need a Permit for a Wheelchair Ramp in Ontario?
A permanent or semi-permanent exterior wheelchair ramp in Ontario can need a municipal building permit. A portable suitcase ramp used as a temporary aid is a different question. Check with the local building department before you treat this ramp as a fixed entry.
What Is the Difference Between a Suitcase Ramp and a Trifold Ramp?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp folds once and stays the full length when folded. A trifold ramp folds again the long way so a longer ramp packs shorter. Choose this suitcase for 2 to 8 ft in one piece. Choose the Trifold AS for 5 to 10 ft in a shorter pack.
What Is the Weight Capacity of EZ-Access Ramps?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp is rated at 800 lb (363 kg). EZ-ACCESS reduces that rating to 500 lb (227 kg) if you add the Top Lip Extension.
Can I Use This Ramp With a Mobility Scooter?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp is printed for wheelchairs and scooters. Stay at or under 800 lb (363 kg), including the rider and the device, and stay inside the scooter maker's own slope limit.
How Much Does the EZ-Access Suitcase Ramp Weigh?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp weighs 11 lb (5.0 kg) at 2 ft, 17 lb (7.7 kg) at 3 ft, 23 lb (10.4 kg) at 4 ft, 29 lb (13.2 kg) at 5 ft, 34 lb (15.4 kg) at 6 ft, 41 lb (18.6 kg) at 7 ft, and 47 lb (21.3 kg) at 8 ft. It does not split into two sections.
Does Funding Cover a Wheelchair Ramp in Ontario?
Depending on the person's situation and assessment, funding support may be available for mobility equipment in Ontario. Westin Healthcare's staff work with funding programs every week and can point you to the right route. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
Will a Portable Wheelchair Ramp Fit in a Car?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp folds to 15 in (38 cm) wide and 4 in (10 cm) high, but the folded length is the same as the ramp: 24 in on the 2 ft, up to 96 in on the 8 ft. Measure the trunk against that length before you count on a sedan.
How Do I Keep a Portable Ramp From Moving?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp has pre-drilled holes in the top plates. EZ-ACCESS tells you to put those plates fully on a secure, level landing and pin or fasten them before each use.
Are There Handrails for This Ramp?
The EZ-Access Suitcase Singlefold Ramp does not take handrails. If you need a portable ramp with handrails, see the EZ-Access Gateway 3G Solid Surface Ramp.
Can I Leave a Portable Ramp Outside?
EZ-ACCESS tells Suitcase Singlefold users to store the ramp in a cool, dry place when it is not in use, and not to use it if ice, snow, dirt, leaves, or debris cover the surface. Bring it in after the trip.
