Description
The Evolution Xpresso Wide rollator is Evolution Technologies' heavy-duty centre-folding 4-wheel walker with a 20 in (50.8 cm) seat and a 450 lb (204 kg) rating. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Wide weighs 31 lb (14.1 kg). Low Wide weighs 30 lb (13.6 kg).
Evolution's Wide sheet lists two sizes only: Wide (22 in seat height) and Low Wide (19 in seat height). Both use extra-wide 8 in polyurethane tires, cable-free brakes, and the Roman-arch X-fold.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who needs a bariatric rollator with a 20 in seat and a 450 lb rating, and still wants a centre fold instead of a steel Evo. Families usually call us when an 18 in Xpresso seat is too narrow, and the person still wants to sit and to put the walker in a car.
If 450 lb is more than you need and 15-18 lb matters more, stay on the Lite, Zero, or Tacoma. If you want a rigid steel frame and a large wire basket, see the Evo Series.
- 20 in seat and 450 lb rating on Wide and Low Wide
- Cable-free brakes and a stay-on folding basket
- CNC-machined aluminium forks and extra-wide 8 in PU tires
Fit and height
Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to the handle range. Wide handles run 32.5-37.5 in (82.6-95.3 cm). Low Wide handles run 30.5-35.5 in (77.5-90.2 cm).
Seat height is 22 in (55.9 cm) on Wide and 19 in (48.3 cm) on Low Wide. Use Choose Seat Height to pick 19 or 22 in. Seat width is 20 in on both. There is no Mini or Tall in this series.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Wide uses 8 in extra-wide polyurethane tires Evolution describes as high traction. Brakes are cable-free on the sell sheet (the Canada page also says concealed-cable). Handle height is easy to set because there is no hanging cable to re-route. Evolution lists a slow-down brake as an add-on.
The frame is an X-style centre fold. The basket folds with the walker. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. Evolution's card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair, and not to use it to push open doors or hit curbs.
Weight and portability
Wide weighs 31 lb (14.1 kg) on Evolution's sheet, without accessories, backstrap, or basket. Low Wide weighs 30 lb (13.6 kg). Overall size is 24.8 by 25.5 in (63.0 by 64.8 cm) on both. That is heavier than Lite or Tacoma. It still folds for a trunk. Plan on two hands for the lift.
Evolution Xpresso Wide specifications
These figures are for the Evolution Xpresso Wide Series as printed on Evolution's current Canada sell sheet. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Weight capacity 450 lb (204 kg) on both sizes. Seat 20 in wide. Wheels 8 in extra-wide PU. Frame: aerospace-grade aluminium with high-strength steel. Colours: Red, Silver, and Black.
Warranty follows Evolution's wheeled-walker card: lifetime limited on the frame and metal, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Register within 14 days.
Colour, size, and accessories
Use Choose Seat Height to pick Low Wide (19 in) or Wide (22 in). Use Choose Color to pick the frame colour. Evolution lists Red, Silver, and Black. Use Accessories to add a cane holder, phone holder, or cup holder if you want those Evolution add-ons on the order.
Lite, Zero, Tacoma, or Wide HD
Wide HD is the 20 in, 450 lb Xpresso. The Lite and Lite Cable-Free are 15 lb with an 18 in seat. The Zero is the quilted-seat Xpresso. The Tacoma is the 18 lb PU-tire Xpresso. The Evo Series is the steel alternative when a wire basket and a rigid frame matter more than an X-fold.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, unfold it, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a bariatric rollator first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the rollator needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Evolution manufacturer warranty
Evolution's current wheeled-walker card, for the original purchaser who registers within 14 days, is lifetime limited on the frame and metal components, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Evolution voids the warranty if the walker is used to push open doors, hit curbs, or used as a wheelchair. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Makes the Xpresso Wide a Bariatric Rollator?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide has a 20 in (50.8 cm) seat and a 450 lb (204 kg) rating on both Wide and Low Wide. That is the heavy-duty Xpresso, not a padded 18 in Lite.
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide handles adjust from 32.5-37.5 in. Low Wide handles adjust from 30.5-35.5 in. Stand in walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease. Seat height is 22 in or 19 in. There is no Mini or Tall.
Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide is a rollator: four wheels, hand brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose Wide when the person can use loop brakes and needs a 20 in seat. Evolution says not to use it as a wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
How Much Does the Xpresso Wide Weigh?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide weighs 31 lb (14.1 kg) on Evolution's sheet. Low Wide weighs 30 lb (13.6 kg). Those figures exclude the basket and accessories.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Xpresso Wide?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide and Low Wide are both rated at 450 lb (204 kg). Stay at or under that rating.
Will the Wide HD Fit in a Car?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide uses the X-style centre fold. Overall size is 24.8 by 25.5 in before the fold. The basket stays on. Plan on two hands for the 30-31 lb lift. We can walk through the fold at delivery.
Does the Wide Have Cable-Free Brakes?
Yes. Evolution's Xpresso Wide sell sheet prints cable-free brakes. A slow-down brake is an Evolution add-on if you want extra drag on a slope.
How Is Wide Different From the Steel Evo?
The Evolution Xpresso Wide is an aluminium X-fold with a 20 in seat and a 450 lb rating. The Evo Series is a steel frame with a large wire basket and a 350-400 lb rating. Pick Wide when you want the Xpresso fold at 450 lb. Pick Evo when you want steel and the big basket.
How Do I Sit on the Wide Seat?
Lock both Evolution Xpresso Wide brakes, keep the rollator on flat ground, and sit only when it is parked. Evolution's warranty card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair.
