Description
The Evolution Trillium rollator is Evolution Technologies' Type 3 4-wheel walker with 8 in (20 cm) polyurethane tires and a 1.5 in quilted seat. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the outdoor Trillium. It is not the 6 in Type 2 Trillium.
Evolution's Type 3 sheet lists Mini, Regular, and Tall, plus optional extended handles in Carbon Black. Every size weighs 14 lb (6.4 kg) without the basket. Mini and Regular are rated 300 lb (136 kg). Tall is rated 350 lb (159 kg).
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who wants a rollator with seat canada shoppers actually sit on: a thick quilted cushion and a wide back strap, with 8 in tires for sidewalks as well as rooms. Families usually call us when the person rests often and still needs an outdoor wheel.
If the daily route is only hard indoor floors and you want a shorter 6 in frame, see the Trillium Type 2. If you want the same 8 in outdoor size in an X-fold, see the Xpresso Zero.
- 8 in tires and offset rear forks for a wider gait
- 1.5 in quilted removable seat and a wide back strap
- Concealed-cable brakes and a covered folding basket
Fit and height
Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to the handle range. Type 3 Mini handles run 29-33 in (73.7-83.8 cm). Regular 31.5-35.5 in (80.0-90.2 cm). Tall 34.5-38.5 in (87.6-97.8 cm).
Carbon Black Regular can take optional extended handles at 34.5-37.5 in. Carbon Black Tall can take 37.5-40 in. Seat height is Mini 18 in, Regular 21 in, Tall 24 in. Use Seat Height to pick 18, 21, or 24 in. Ask us when you need the extended-handle Regular or Tall.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Type 3 Trillium uses 8 in lightweight polyurethane tires with offset rear forks. Evolution built this size for mixed indoor and outdoor ground. Brakes are concealed cable: the cables sit inside the frame so handle height is easy to set and the lines stay off doorways.
The frame is a centre fold. The basket is fully covered, foldable, and removable. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. Evolution's card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair, and not to use it to push open doors or hit curbs.
Weight and portability
Every Type 3 size weighs 14 lb (6.4 kg) on Evolution's sheet, without accessories, backstrap, or basket. Overall size is 26 by 25.5 in (66.0 by 64.8 cm) on Mini, Regular, and Tall. That is longer than Type 2. It still folds for a trunk once the basket is collapsed or lifted off.

Colour and size
Use Seat Height to pick Mini (18 in), Regular (21 in), or Tall (24 in). Use Colors to pick the frame colour. Ask us if you need Carbon Black with the extended handles Evolution prints on the Type 3 sheet.
Trillium Type 2 or Type 3
Type 3 is the 8 in outdoor Trillium with a 26 by 25.5 in frame and a 350 lb Tall. Type 2 is the 6 in indoor Trillium with a 25 in frame and a 300 lb Tall. Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a rollator with a seat first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Evolution manufacturer warranty
Evolution's Trillium warranty card, for the original purchaser who registers within 14 days, is lifetime limited on the frame and metal components, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Evolution voids the warranty if the walker is used to push open doors, hit curbs, or used as a wheelchair. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Is the Difference Between Trillium Type 2 and Type 3?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 uses 8 in tires, a 26 by 25.5 in frame, and a 350 lb Tall. Type 2 uses 6 in tires, a 25 in frame, and a 300 lb Tall. They are two Evolution builds with two device codes, not one product.
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 Regular handles adjust from 31.5-35.5 in (80.0-90.2 cm). Stand in walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to Mini, Regular, or Tall. Carbon Black Regular and Tall can take the extended handles Evolution prints on the Type 3 sheet.
Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 is a rollator: four wheels, hand brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose Type 3 when the person can use loop brakes and wants to sit on a quilted cushion. Evolution says not to use it as a wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
How Much Does the Trillium Type 3 Weigh?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 weighs 14 lb (6.4 kg) in Mini, Regular, and Tall on Evolution's Type 3 sheet. That figure excludes the basket and accessories.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Trillium Type 3?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 Mini and Regular are rated at 300 lb (136 kg). Tall is rated at 350 lb (159 kg). Stay at or under the rating for the size you pick.
Will This Rollator Fit in a Car?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 is a centre-fold rollator. Overall size is 26 by 25.5 in before the fold. The covered basket collapses or lifts off. We can walk through the fold at delivery.
Can I Use the Type 3 Trillium Outdoors?
Evolution fits the Type 3 Trillium with 8 in polyurethane tires and offset rear forks for mixed indoor and outdoor ground. Lock the brakes before you sit, and do not use the frame to shove doors or climb curbs.
How Do the Concealed-Cable Brakes Work?
The Evolution Trillium Type 3 runs the brake cables inside the frame. Squeeze to slow down. Push the levers down to lock before you sit. Evolution designed that layout so handle height is easy to set.
How Do I Sit on the Trillium Seat?
Lock both Evolution Trillium Type 3 brakes, keep the rollator on flat ground, and sit only when it is parked. The Type 3 seat is a 1.5 in quilted cushion. Evolution's warranty card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair.
