Description
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 rollator is Evolution Technologies' indoor 4-wheel walker with 6 in (15 cm) polyurethane tires and a quilted seat. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the Type 2 Trillium. It is not the 8 in Type 3 Trillium.
Evolution's Type 2 sheet lists Mini, Regular, and Tall. Mini and Regular weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg). Tall weighs 14 lb (6.4 kg). Capacity is 300 lb (136 kg) in every Type 2 size, including Tall.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who stays at or under 300 lb, walks mainly on hard, flat indoor floors, and wants a padded Trillium seat without an 8 in outdoor wheel. Families usually call us when hallways and kitchens are the daily route, and a larger Type 3 feels long in a turn.
If you want the 8 in Trillium for sidewalks and uneven ground, see the Evolution Trillium Type 3. If you want a lighter narrow aluminium frame, see the Piper.
- 6 in tires and a 25 in wide frame for indoor rooms
- Quilted seat and a wide back strap
- Semi-concealed cable brakes with a centre fold
Fit and height
Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to the handle range. Type 2 Mini handles run 29-33 in (73.7-83.8 cm). Regular 31.5-35.5 in (80.0-90.2 cm). Tall 34.5-38.5 in (87.6-97.8 cm).
Seat height is Mini 18 in (45.7 cm), Regular 21 in (53.3 cm), Tall 24 in (61.0 cm). Use Seat Height to pick 18, 21, or 24 in. Type 2 Tall keeps the 300 lb rating. That is different from Type 3 Tall, which Evolution rates at 350 lb.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Type 2 Trillium uses 6 in lightweight polyurethane tires. Evolution built this size for hard, flat surfaces, not as an 8 in outdoor Type 3. Brakes are semi-concealed cable: Evolution says they will not snag on clothes or doorways the way an exposed cable can, and the handle height is easy to set.
The frame is a centre fold. Evolution prints that the folding handle sits parallel to the fold, so the lift is in line with the close. The basket is foldable and removable. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. Evolution's card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair, and not to use it to push open doors or hit curbs.
Weight and portability
Mini and Regular weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg) on Evolution's Type 2 sheet, without accessories, backstrap, or basket. Tall is 14 lb (6.4 kg). Overall size is 25 by 23 in (63.5 by 58.4 cm) on Mini and 25 by 24 in (63.5 by 61.0 cm) on Regular and Tall. That is shorter than the Type 3's 26 by 25.5 in footprint.
Evolution Trillium Type 2 specifications
These figures are for the Evolution Trillium Type 2 Series as printed on Evolution's Type 2 sell sheet. The specification tab holds the stored values. Older Westin tables that show 8 in casters, 26 by 25.5 in, or a 350 lb Tall are Type 3 numbers. We do not use them here.
Seat 18 in (45.7 cm) wide on Mini, Regular, and Tall. Wheels 6 in PU. Colours on the Type 2 sheet: Carbon Black, Blue, and Pink.
Warranty follows Evolution's Trillium card: lifetime limited on the frame and metal, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Register within 14 days.
Colour and size
Use Seat Height to pick Mini (18 in), Regular (21 in), or Tall (24 in). Use Colors to pick the frame colour. Evolution's Type 2 sheet lists Carbon Black, Blue, and Pink. Ask us if you want a colour beyond that sheet.
Trillium Type 2 or Type 3
Type 2 is the indoor Trillium: 6 in tires, 25 in width, 300 lb even on Tall. Type 3 is the outdoor Trillium: 8 in tires, 26 by 25.5 in, and a 350 lb Tall with optional extended handles in Carbon Black. Choose Type 2 for hard, flat indoor use. Move to the Trillium Type 3 when the daily route includes sidewalks. The Xpresso Lite is the lighter X-fold if you want 8 in wheels without the Trillium quilted seat.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, unfold it, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a 4 wheel walker first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the rollator needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Evolution manufacturer warranty
Evolution's Trillium warranty card, for the original purchaser who registers within 14 days, is lifetime limited on the frame and metal components, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Evolution voids the warranty if the walker is used to push open doors, hit curbs, or used as a wheelchair. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Is the Difference Between Trillium Type 2 and Type 3?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 uses 6 in tires, a 25 in wide frame, and a 300 lb rating in every size. The Type 3 uses 8 in tires, a 26 by 25.5 in frame, and a 350 lb Tall. They are two Evolution builds, not one product in two labels.
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 Regular handles adjust from 31.5-35.5 in (80.0-90.2 cm). Stand in walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to Mini, Regular, or Tall. Seat height is 18, 21, or 24 in.
Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 is a rollator: four wheels, hand brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose Type 2 when indoor hard floors are the daily route and the person can use loop brakes. Evolution says not to use it as a wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
How Much Does the Trillium Type 2 Weigh?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 Mini and Regular weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg) on Evolution's Type 2 sheet. Tall weighs 14 lb (6.4 kg). Those figures exclude the basket and accessories.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Trillium Type 2?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 is rated at 300 lb (136 kg) in Mini, Regular, and Tall. Type 2 Tall does not rise to 350 lb. That higher Tall rating belongs to Type 3.
Will This Rollator Fit in a Car?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 is a centre-fold rollator. Mini overall size is 25 by 23 in before the fold. The basket comes off or collapses. We can walk through the fold at delivery.
Can I Use the Type 2 Trillium Outdoors?
Evolution built the Type 2 Trillium with 6 in tires for hard, flat surfaces. For sidewalks and mixed ground, Evolution's 8 in Type 3 Trillium is the outdoor sibling.
How Do the Type 2 Brakes Work?
The Evolution Trillium Type 2 uses semi-concealed cable brakes. Squeeze to slow down. Push the levers down to lock before you sit. Evolution designed the cables to stay off clothes and doorways.
How Do I Sit on the Trillium Seat?
Lock both Evolution Trillium Type 2 brakes, keep the rollator on flat ground, and sit only when it is parked. Evolution's warranty card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair.
