Construction and how it works
This is an 8-inch mattress replacement. Twenty 8-inch TPU cells sit on the deck. Alternating pressure inflates and deflates on a 10-minute cycle. Micro low air loss vents a little air to help with moisture without collapsing the cell. Cell-on-cell in the sacrum keeps the seat from bottoming when the person sits or if the power fails.
The digital pump hangs on the footboard. Modes on the Apex/Wellell set are Max Firm, Alternate, Continuous Low Pressure, Seat Inflation with Alternate, and Seat Inflation with CLP. Visual and audible alarms cover low pressure, power failure, and tech support. A CPR valve dumps the air. A quick connector lets the surface travel as a static mattress. The nylon/PU cover is vapour-permeable, water-resistant, and fire-resistant, with a zipper that runs around the mattress.

How do I clean the cover?
The nylon/PU cover unzips all the way around. It is vapour-permeable and water-resistant. Follow the Wellell Domus 4 manual for wipe-down. Do not immerse the pump.
