Description
The Interstate DCM0012 battery is a 12V 12Ah (20-hour) deep-cycle AGM cell with F2 .250 in Faston terminals. Interstate lists it on the Deep Cycle Mobility table, the series built for repeated discharge on mobility equipment. Westin Healthcare sells the single cell in Brampton and can match the terminal across the Greater Toronto Area.
Who this mobility scooter battery is for
Travel scooters run two 12V cells in series. The Interstate DCM0012 is the 12Ah mobility deep-cycle cell, 5.94 x 3.88 x 3.76 in (151 x 99 x 96 mm) with F2 tabs. Pride prints a 12Ah sealed lead-acid pair on the Go-Go LX (US table), Go-Go Ultra X, Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 standard pack, and the SLA Go-Go Folding Scooter. Golden prints 12Ah on the Buzzaround LT and the standard Buzzaround XL. Interstate does not print those model names on the DCM table. The tabs must be F2.
- Use this cell when the old battery is 12V 12Ah F2 and you want Interstate's mobility deep-cycle series
- Choose the Interstate SLA1104 when you want the General Purpose 12Ah F2 cell
- Do not use this cell on a U1 scooter (Victory, Revo, Buzzaround LX) or on an 18Ah Sport pack
This is a wheelchair-battery-replacement size only in the travel-scooter sense. It is not a group 22NF or group 24 powerchair pack.
Terminals, chemistry, and size
Interstate's Deep Cycle Mobility table prints DCM0012 as 12Ah at the 20-hour rate, no BCI group, 5.94 in long, 3.88 in wide, 3.76 in high, 4.00 in including the terminal, F2. That is a slightly taller case than SLA1104. Chemistry on the Interstate mobility series is sealed AGM. Replace both 12V cells together.
SLA, AGM, gel, and the size ladder
DCM is Interstate Deep Cycle Mobility. SLA1104 is the general-purpose AGM twin. Gel is a different family (GEL0055). The 18Ah mobility step is the DCM0018 insert cell. Group 22NF mobility AGM is the DCM0055. Group 24 is the MK 8A24.
Interstate DCM0012 specifications
These figures are for Westin SKU DCM0012. The specification tab should follow Interstate's Deep Cycle Mobility table: 12V, 12Ah at the 20-hour rate, 5.94 x 3.88 x 3.76 in (151 x 99 x 96 mm), height with terminal 4.00 in, F2 .250 in Faston, no BCI group. Interstate does not print a weight or a year warranty on that table.

Frequently asked questions
What battery does my scooter take?
The Interstate DCM0012 is a 12V 12Ah F2 deep-cycle mobility cell. Pride prints 12Ah on several Go-Go travel scooters. Golden prints 12Ah on the Buzzaround LT and standard XL. Confirm F2 tabs. U1 scooters and 18Ah Sport packs need a different case.
Do I need two batteries for a scooter?
Yes. A 24V travel scooter uses two 12V batteries in series. The Interstate DCM0012 is sold as one cell. Replace both cells together.
How long do mobility scooter batteries last?
Interstate does not print a year life for DCM0012. When range falls off after a full charge, replace both 12V cells and charge them with the charger the scooter maker lists.
Can I replace scooter batteries myself?
Pride and Golden travel scooters with a drop-in box are written so a dealer or a careful owner can swap the pair from that scooter's owner manual. Westin can do the swap. Match the leads and do not short the F2 tabs.
Is DCM0012 the same as SLA1104?
No. Both are 12V 12Ah F2 AGM. DCM0012 is Interstate Deep Cycle Mobility and is slightly taller. SLA1104 is Interstate General Purpose.
Is this a group 24 gel battery?
No. DCM0012 has no BCI group. Group 24 gel and AGM packs are the larger outdoor-scooter and powerchair size.
What is the difference between F1 and F2 terminals?
F1 is .187 in. F2 is .250 in. The Interstate DCM0012 is F2. An F1 harness will not seat on these tabs.
