Description
The MK DC27 battery is a 12 V group 27 flooded deep-cycle cell from East Penn / Deka / MK. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. East Penn's March 2026 Marine Master sheet prints 90 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 625 cold cranking amps, and 53.5 lb. It is a wet marine and RV house battery, not a sealed gel cell.
Who this battery is for
This is for a tray the device maker allows to be flooded: a vented marine box, some RV house banks, or a mobility tray that the maker prints as a wet cell. It is not a drop-in for a sealed scooter box built around AGM or gel. If the old cell is sealed group 27 AGM, see the MK 8A27.

MK DC27 battery chemistry
East Penn prints DC27 under 12-volt heavy-duty deep cycle service and says DC part numbers are flooded. Flooded cells have liquid electrolyte. They are not rated non-spillable on that sheet. They need upright mounting and the venting the device maker designed. They are not the 8A27 AGM and they are not the 8G27 gel.
If the device is a 24 V pair, Interstate and Quantum still describe two 12 V batteries in series. Only use two flooded cells if the maker allows flooded chemistry. Westin sells the DC27 as a single 12 V battery.

Flooded DC27 or sealed 8A27: which sibling fits
If the old cell is sealed AGM, order the MK 8A27 (92 Ah at 20 hr, 61.5 lb). The flooded group 24 is the MK DC24. The sealed group 24 is the MK 8A24.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers this battery across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. A flooded cell ships upright. We will not lay it on its side. If you want a technician to install it, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the case first. Purchased batteries that ship without a technician are delivered on a scheduled date.
Each official DC27 is 53.5 lb. If the order is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Is The DC27 A Gel Battery?
No. The MK DC27 battery is flooded. East Penn prints DC part numbers as deep-cycle flooded cells. Gel group 27 is the 8G27, a different SKU.
How Many Amp Hours Is The DC27?
East Penn prints 90 Ah at the 20-hour rate on the current DC27 row. The sheet does not print 105 Ah. We use the current 90 Ah figure.
Can I Put This In A Mobility Scooter?
Only if the scooter maker allows a flooded group 27 in that tray. Most sealed mobility boxes take AGM or gel, which is the MK 8A27. Call (905) 451-7743 with a photo of the old cell before we send a DC27.
How Does DC27 Compare To The 8A27?
The DC27 is flooded, 90 Ah at 20 hr, 53.5 lb. The 8A27 is sealed AGM, 92 Ah at 20 hr, 61.5 lb. Same group size, different chemistry and mounting rules.
