Description
The AquaSense rotating flange grab bar is AMG and Drive's knurled chrome wall bar with flanges that turn for vertical, horizontal, or diagonal mounting. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Drive prints a 250 lb (113 kg) rating, a 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm) wall clearance, and lengths of 12, 16, 18, 24, and 32 in.
This is the 785-13x rotating line. The fixed-flange AquaSense sibling is the 785-10x knurled chrome bar, which Drive rates at 300 lb. It is not a clamp-on tub rail.
Who this grab bar is for
The AquaSense rotating-flange grab bar is for a person who wants a knurled chrome wall bar, stays at or under Drive's 250 lb rating, and wants the flanges to turn so the bar can sit vertical, horizontal, or on a diagonal. Families here usually call when they want that chrome look on a shower, toilet, or sink wall and they already know a clamp-on tub rail is a different job.
- Rotating flanges: vertical, horizontal, or diagonal
- Knurled chrome, rust-resistant finish, 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm) clearance
- 250 lb (113 kg). Lengths 12, 16, 18, 24, and 32 in
Length, grip, and capacity
Use Select Size to pick 12 in (785-130), 16 in (785-132), 18 in (785-134), 24 in (785-136), or 32 in (785-138). Those are 30.5, 40.6, 45.7, 61, and 81.3 cm. Drive prints the same 250 lb (113 kg) rating on every length.
The grip is knurled chrome. Drive calls the finish rust-resistant. Wall clearance is 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm). Drive does not print a tube diameter on this card.
Installation, as AquaSense prints it
AquaSense grab bars come complete with instructions and stainless steel hardware. Follow the sheet in the carton. Drive prints that the rotating flanges facilitate installation on a bathtub wall, a shower wall, or the walls around a toilet or sink, and that the bar can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Drive does not print stud spacing, drywall anchors, or a "no studs needed" sentence on this card. We will not invent those steps. If you want the bar installed, we follow the AquaSense sheet in your home in Brampton and the GTA.
AquaSense rotating-flange specifications
These figures are for the AquaSense 785-13x rotating-flange card. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the Drive card when they fight.
Weight capacity 250 lb (113 kg). Wall clearance 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm). Rotating flanges, vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. Rust-resistant knurled chrome. Stainless steel hardware and instructions in the carton. Lengths 12 / 16 / 18 / 24 / 32 in (785-130 / 785-132 / 785-134 / 785-136 / 785-138). Drive does not print a warranty term on this sheet.
Length and finish
Use Select Size for the length. Each length is a different AquaSense SKU. Chrome knurled is the finish Drive prints.
Rotating AquaSense or fixed AquaSense
This 785-13x bar is the rotating-flange AquaSense at 250 lb with 2 1/2 in of clearance. The AquaSense Knurled Chrome Grab Bar is the 785-10x line: same lengths, no rotating flange on Drive's card, 300 lb. The EZee Life Chrome Knurled Grab Bar is the other rotating-flange chrome bar we sell, with 1 1/2 in of clearance. For a 1.25 in Ontario-made bar, see the HealthCraft Easy Mount knurled.
A clamp-on tub rail, such as the Drive 12036, grips the tub wall and does not use these flanges.
Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Frequently asked questions
Do Grab Bars Need Studs?
AquaSense's 785-13x card says the bar comes with instructions and stainless steel hardware, and that rotating flanges let you mount it vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Drive does not print a stud or anchor recipe on that card. Follow the carton sheet. We follow that sheet when we install the bar in Brampton and the GTA.
What Length Grab Bar Do I Need?
AquaSense rotating-flange bars come in 12, 16, 18, 24, and 32 in (30.5, 40.6, 45.7, 61, and 81.3 cm). Use Select Size. A shorter bar suits a narrow wall. A longer bar covers more of a shower or toilet wall. We can hold the lengths up in the store.
What Is The Weight Capacity Of The AquaSense Rotating Bar?
Drive lists 250 lb (113 kg) on the AquaSense rotating-flange card. Stay at or under that rating on every length.
Is This The Same As The Other AquaSense Chrome Bar?
No. This 785-13x line has rotating flanges and a 250 lb rating with 2 1/2 in of clearance. The 785-10x AquaSense knurled chrome bar has no rotating flange on Drive's card and a 300 lb rating.
Can It Mount On A Diagonal?
Drive prints that the rotating flanges allow the AquaSense 785-13x grab bar to be mounted vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
How Far Does It Sit Off The Wall?
Drive prints 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm) of clearance from the wall on the AquaSense rotating-flange card.
What Is The Warranty?
Drive does not print a term on the 785-13x card. Westin Healthcare processes any manufacturer claim with you.
