This is the offset Comfort-Plus, not the folding Comfort-Plus and not a quad cane. The cushioned offset handle sits over the shaft. The handle grips a wall so the cane can rest upright. A reflective strap and a treaded Flex-Grip tip come on the cane.

The Airgo Comfort-Plus offset cane is for a person who wants a single-tip offset cane, stays at or under Drive's 300 lb rating, and is in Drive's 5 to 6 ft 5 in height band. Families here usually call when they want that cushioned Airgo handle and they already know a folding cane or a four-point quad is a different shape.

Fit and height

Drive prints 12 push-button height settings and a fit for most people 5 to 6 ft 5 in (152 to 196 cm). Drive's catalog sheet does not print an inch height band.

Stand upright in the shoes you will walk in, with your arms relaxed. Set the handle at your wrist crease so your elbow stays slightly bent when you hold on. Drive's push-button clicks into the next hole. Come into a Brampton or Toronto store if you want that height checked on the floor.

Handle, tip, and wall rest

This is an offset cane. Drive's Comfort-Plus handle uses a cushioned grip that helps absorb shocks. Drive also prints that the handle grips to the wall and will not fall, so you can rest the cane against a wall instead of laying it down.

The shaft is lightweight anodized aluminum. A cane strap with a reflective patch is included for night-time visibility. The treaded rubber Flex-Grip tip is the contact patch. The matching replacement Flex-Grip tip, item 735-001, is made for 3/4 in (1.9 cm) aluminum cane tubing.

Weight and portability

Drive does not print a unit weight on the current offset sheet. The cane does not fold. It is a one-piece shaft you stand in a porch stand or rest on a wall with Drive's wall-grip handle. For a cane that folds for a bag or a car seat, use the Airgo Comfort-Plus Folding Cane.

The Airgo Comfort-Plus offset cane is the single-tip offset in this Airgo pair. Stay here if you want the wall-grip handle and Drive's 300 lb rating on a cane that does not fold. The Airgo Comfort-Plus Folding Cane is the travel sibling at 250 lb (113 kg) with a fold strap.
