MONA is not the wall-mounted ANA nursing table, and it is not the Beka SINA Comfort shower trolley. ANA bolts to the wall and has no wheeled chassis. SINA Comfort is the recumbent shower trolley with a padded shower mattress and a drain hose. Who it is for

This table is for a person who needs a stable, height-adjustable surface for personal care, dressing, or treatment when a bed or a seated shower chair is not the right workplace. Beka marks MONA for mobility groups 1 through 5 and names hospitals, nursing homes, and nurseries as its settings. Beka specifies the transfer as a two-caregiver job. We will still assess the person and the room with you.

What you get

You get the MONA in the model on your quote: the padded support pad with rounded ends, the scissor chassis, four steerable lockable castors, and either the wired handset (EL codes) or the dual-sided foot pedals (HYD codes). Electric codes use a lock-out key on the control box so the table cannot move until the key is in place. Folding side rails, rail padding, a ratchet head part, an ABS chassis cover, and a pad colour are quoted with the room. They are not on the Model selector.

The scissor mechanism holds the pad steady so the surface does not wobble or drop, even if the person is restless. The chassis is open from all sides. Fold the near rail, match the table height to the bed, then fold the rails up so the person cannot roll off. Disinfect the table after each use; it is not suitable for sterilisation.

Beka MONA specifications

These figures apply to MONA. The safe working load is 205 kg (452 lb) on electric and hydraulic codes. Product weight is about 120 kg (265 lb) without packaging. Clearance under the frame is 138 mm (5.4 in). Height is 480-990 mm (18.9-39.0 in) for both drives. Pad length is 1,500 mm or 2,000 mm (59.1 in or 78.8 in). Pad width is 650 mm, 800 mm, or 1,000 mm (25.6 in, 31.5 in, or 39.4 in). Special sizes are quoted with the room. The person on the table may not be taller than 200 cm (78.7 in). Electric height uses the wired handset. Hydraulic height uses the foot pedals (one pedal raises, one lowers). Fold the side rails, if fitted, before the table goes to the lowest height. Unlock the lock-out key on an electric code before you raise or lower the surface.

Park MONA beside the bed, match the height, fold the near rail, lock the brakes, and move the person onto the pad. Beka specifies that sequence as a two-caregiver transfer. There is 138 mm (5.4 in) of clearance under the frame so a modern floor lift or sit-to-stand lift can drive under. Measure the door and the turning space before you order. The 1,500 mm codes are the shorter chassis if the room is tight.

Beka warranty terms ship with each serial number; ask us for the terms on your order. Unauthorised work or opening the motor voids the warranty, and Beka calls for a 12-month safety check. EL 200-80 (950104000) is the default: electric height and an adult 2,000 x 800 mm pad. Pick a 1,500 mm pad for a shorter person or a tight room. Pick 1,000 mm width if 800 mm is not enough. Pick a HYD code if the room should not depend on a handset. We will match the selector to the code on your quote.

Do side rails come with the table?

Not on the eight North American table codes. Side rails (950103400) and rail padding (950103410) are extras. Ask us to add them on the same quote when roll-off protection is required.

How do you transfer someone onto MONA?

Can one caregiver operate the table?

Height is a one-person control on the handset or the foot pedals. Beka still requires two caregivers to transfer the person and says never to leave the person unattended on the table. We will not promise that one person is always enough.

Can MONA be used for showering?

Beka names showering and personal care as intended uses. MONA is still not a shower trolley: it has no drain hose and no shower mattress. If the room plan is a wet-room rinse over the pad, ask us. If you need a dedicated recumbent shower, that is SINA Comfort.

How fast can a purchased MONA be set up in the GTA?
