Milo is the everyday chair in this Beka family. It uses electric height travel and a 25° stepless seat tilt. It does not add a separate backrest tilt. If the prescription names James, that sibling adds a 30° backrest and a 55° recline at 185 kg. If the prescription names Leon, that sibling is the 230 kg (507 lb) bariatric chair. Stay on this page when the name is Milo and the person is inside 150 kg (330 lb).

This chair is for a person who needs a seated shower or hygiene session with powered height and a 25° tilt, indoors, on a level floor. Beka names it for hospitals, nursing homes, care centres, and homes for people with disabilities, and maps it to mobility groups 2, 3, and 4. Stay inside 150 kg (330 lb).
The manufacturer asks the attending physician before use when the person has osteoporosis, spinal or back pain, osteogenesis imperfecta, mental confusion, or epileptic seizures. The chair is for short-term use and must not touch damaged or injured skin. It is not a sling lift and not a bath-bench stool.

What you get
The frame is aluminum. The seat and back are shaped PUR-foam cushions. A 3D headrest, a lockable hygiene opening, and straight armrests that fold back for a side transfer ship on the chair. The standard footrest is centred. The standard cushion width on the current Beka brochure and IFU is 495 mm (19.5 in). A 545 mm (21.5 in) XL cushion set is quoted when you need the wider pad.
The cable hand control raises and lowers the seat and runs the 25° tilt. Actuators are self-locking when you release the button. An emergency stop sits on the control box; twist it to release. Charge the lithium-ion pack with the magnetic plug for about 6 hours. Recharge at least every 6 months. Lock all four castor brakes before you raise, lower, or tilt.

Memory keys (Park and Clean), a bedpan holder, a shower-head bracket, a safety belt, Comfort individual legrests, and fold-up safety arms are quoted with the room when the assessment asks for them. Beka Milo specifications
These figures are for Milo, not James and not Leon. The safe working load is 150 kg (330 lb) on the Savaria card, the Beka brochure, and the Milo / Leon user manual. Seat tilt is 25°. There is no separate backrest motor. Seat height is 550-750 mm (21.7-29.5 in). Height travel is 200 mm (7.9 in). Overall width is 600 mm (23.6 in), or 655 mm (25.8 in) on the XL version. Lowest upright length is 1145 mm (45.1 in). Chassis width is 555 mm (21.9 in) outside and 370 mm (14.6 in) inside.
The battery is a 2.6 Ah lithium-ion pack at 25 V. Duty cycle is 2 minutes of motion, then 18 minutes rest. Noise on the IFU is at most 55 dB(A). The chair is splash-proof and indoor only. Wipe it with a damp cloth and disinfect after each use. It is not made for sterilization. The manufacturer recommends an annual safety check by a qualified technician.

Which lifts this chair fits
Beka and Savaria print that Milo is compatible with NORA and CARLO. Use the Beka CARLO Classic when the person needs a full-body sling transfer onto the chair. Use the Beka NORA or the Beka NORA Pro when they can take part in a sit-to-stand onto the chair. We will match the lift, the sling, and the chair on the quote.
This chair is not itself a lift. It does not take a sling on a hanger bar. A safety belt (code 920120070) can be quoted if the person needs more hold in the seat.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a German parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace. The manufacturer asks for a routine annual safety check by a qualified technician.
Beka manufacturer warranty
Beka and Savaria do not print a year split on the current Milo cards we used. Unauthorized changes and non-Beka parts can void the claim. Ask us for the Beka terms that ship with your serial number. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

What is the safe working load of the Beka Milo?
150 kg (330 lb). Stay inside that number for the person plus anything they wear. This is not the 185 kg James rating and not the 230 kg Leon rating.
How is Milo different from James?
James is the extended-tilt sibling. It adds a 30° powered backrest so the recline reaches 55°, and it is rated 185 kg with 300 mm of height travel. Milo stays at a 25° seat tilt, 150 kg, and 200 mm of height travel. If the prescription says James, do not order this page.
How is Milo different from Leon?
Leon is the bariatric sibling at 230 kg (507 lb) with a 655 mm wide frame. Milo is 150 kg (330 lb) and 600 mm wide (655 mm only on the XL cushion version). If the person is near or over 150 kg, ask us about Leon instead of stretching this chair.
Does the Milo tilt?
Yes. The seat tilts electrically and steplessly to 25° from the cable hand control. The backrest does not have its own motor. That extra backrest motor is the James feature.
Does a lift or a sling come with the chair?
No. You get the Milo in the colour you pick, with the PUR cushions, 3D headrest, cable hand control, and magnetic charger. A CARLO or NORA transfer, and any sling, is quoted separately.
Can I use this chair with a CARLO or a NORA?
Yes. Beka prints compatibility with NORA and CARLO. See the CARLO Classic, the NORA, and the NORA Pro. We will confirm the transfer method in the room.
Is the Milo also a commode?
The chair has a lockable hygiene opening as standard. A bedpan holder is an option (code 920120030). Ask us to include that holder if the chair will sit over a toilet or take a pan.

BAROLO (920124000) and Azur (920124020). Use the Colour selector. Both are the same 150 kg Milo.
