Description
The Super Back for Kids is Future Mobility's junior foam wheelchair back support, built with three foam layers on a 5052 aluminum shell. Westin Healthcare fits it in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area after a seating check on the chair.
This is the junior Super Back (factory prefix KSB), not an adult Lunar or Prism Basic. Capacity is 150 lb (68 kg).
Who this back support is for
The Super Back for Kids is for a child at or under 150 lb (68 kg) whose seating therapist wants a junior-width aluminum back with three foam layers, a lumbar pad, and a contour pad. Future Mobility prints the three layers as pressure relief for children and the foam base as back stability and positioning.
A seating therapist should confirm the size and that a junior back is the right shell. Westin does not give clinical positioning advice. If you have questions about posture or transfers, ask the therapist who assessed you, or call us and we will book that conversation.
Hardware, foam, and fit
The shell is 5052-grade aluminum. Foam is replaceable. Lumbar pad and contour pad are standard. Pins come standard, 0.5 in longer, and 1 in longer, and take up to a 2 in (5 cm) seat-width difference. Hardware fits 3/4 in, 7/8 in, and 1 in canes. Forward and rear travel is a full 5 in, with angle 15 degrees forward and 20 degrees back. Cane clamps and quick-release lower latches are included.
- Product weight 3.2 lb (1.45 kg) at 12 in W x 14 in H
- User weight 150 lb (68 kg)
- Stock sizes 10x12, 12x12, 14x14, 16x16; other pairs on the control are non-stock on the factory form
Super Back for Kids specifications
These figures are from Future Mobility's July 2025 Super Kids brochure and the live Canada card. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Warranty 3 years limited on the back, 90 days on the cover, and 1 year on hardware. The factory form prints SEBFM0080 on stock sizes, SEBFM0085 on non-stock sizes, and SEBFM0090 on custom. We do not say a given size is approved.
Sizes
Use Choose Cushion Size for the width by height pair. The stored Width and Back Height values describe the junior band (about 10-16 in by 12-16 in). We set the hardware on the canes at delivery.
Junior Super Back or an adult Lunar
Stay here for the 150 lb junior shell. The Lunar Basic Low Support is the adult low Lunar. The Lunar Basic Mid Support is the adult mid Lunar. The Prism Supreme II Plus is the adult foam seat cushion, not a back.
Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario
This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and fits this back support across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, mount it on the wheelchair canes, and show you the quick-release latches before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a wheelchair back support first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the back support is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the back support needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Future Mobility manufacturer warranty
Future Mobility prints 3 years limited on the Super Back for Kids, 90 days on the cover, and 1 year on the hardware, for the original purchaser. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Wheelchair Backrest Do I Need?
A wheelchair back support is ordered by seat width and back height, not by clothing size. Measure the wheelchair seat width and how high the shell should sit on the back canes, then use Choose Cushion Size for the matching width by height. A seating therapist should confirm the size before you order.
What Is A Wheelchair Back Support?
A wheelchair back support mounts to the rear canes and holds the trunk. The Super Back for Kids is a junior aluminum shell with three foam layers. It is not a seat cushion and it is not a whole wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Wheelchair Cushions?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program can help with a wheelchair cushion or back support after an ADP-registered therapist assessment, when the seating is required with an eligible mobility device. Eligibility depends on the person and the device. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
What Is The Weight Capacity Of The Super Back For Kids?
The Super Back for Kids is rated at 150 lb (68 kg) on Future Mobility's current brochure. Stay at or under that rating.
How Much Does The Super Back For Kids Weigh?

What Tubing Does The Super Back For Kids Fit?

Is This The Same As An Adult Lunar Back?
The Super Back for Kids is a junior 150 lb shell in 10 to 16 in widths. Lunar Basic is the adult 250 lb series. They are separate Future Mobility products.
Can I Remove The Super Back For Transport?
The Super Back for Kids uses quick-release lower latch levers so the shell can come off the cane clamps.
What Comes With The Super Back For Kids?
The Super Back for Kids is ordered as the 5052 shell, three foam layers, lumbar pad, contour pad, cover, and cane-clamp hardware for the size you pick.
