Description

SystemRoMedic AntiSlip is a red closed-cell polyethylene friction pad. You put it under the feet when you need grip, or between two sliding surfaces when you need those surfaces to stay put. Savaria Patient Care lists it as AntiSlip. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

This is not EasySlide. EasySlide is a fabric tubular slide sheet. This is not EasyGlide, which is a hard sliding board. AntiSlip does the opposite job: it adds friction. If you need a soft sheet in bed, see EasySlide. If the person needs a belt for a sit-to-stand, see EasyBelt. If they can stand and pivot on a platform, see the Handicare ReTurn.

Who it is for

This pad is for a person who needs a firm place for the feet, or a stop between two sliding materials, during a manual transfer. SystemRoMedic names two main jobs: moving higher up in bed, and raising from sitting to standing. Stay inside 200 kg (440 lb). The pad is not a lift and it has no loops or clips.

  • Homes and care sites that need a foot grip when moving a person higher up in bed
  • Sit-to-stand and bed-to-chair work when the feet would otherwise slide
  • Sites that want a named Handicare / SystemRoMedic pad with a printed safe working load
  • A person inside 200 kg (440 lb)

What you get and how it grips

You get AntiSlip in the pack on your quote: one pad (8040), ten pads (8045), or thirty pads (8046). The pad is the same size on every code. Nothing else ships in the carton. EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, EasySlide, WendyLett, and FootStool are sold separately.

Place AntiSlip under the user's feet, or in the bed, so the surface is rough enough to stop a slide. For a higher-up-in-bed move, SystemRoMedic also names a friction-reducing device under the shoulders. For a sit-to-stand or a bed-to-wheelchair transfer, SystemRoMedic says to use EasyBelt or FlexiBelt with the pad. The pad can also sit between two sliding materials so those materials do not creep. Wipe it with warm water or soap. If you need to disinfect, SystemRoMedic names 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol, or similar. Do not crush it. Hard pressure or impact can leave dents.

SystemRoMedic AntiSlip specifications

These figures are for the current AntiSlip family, not EasySlide, not EasyGlide, and not EasyBelt. The specification tab holds the stored values.

Safe working load is 200 kg (440 lb) on 8040, 8045, and 8046. Size is 17.7 in x 15 in (450 mm x 380 mm). Colour is red. Material is closed-cell polyethylene. Expected lifetime is up to 10 years of normal use. The current instructions mark it as a Medical Device Class I under MDR 2017/745. SystemRoMedic does not print a product weight or a thickness on the dimensions sheet or the instructions.

Do not read EasySlide fabric sizes, EasyGlide gap ratings, or ReTurn platform numbers onto this page.

Pack options

Use the Pack selector to pick the factory article on your quote. The default is 8040.

  • 8040: AntiSlip 17.7 x 15 in, 1 pc
  • 8045: AntiSlip 17.7 x 15 in, 10 pcs
  • 8046: AntiSlip 17.7 x 15 in, 30 pcs

This listing is quote-only. The pad in the code you pick is what ships. Pick 8040 for one home. Pick 8045 or 8046 when a care site wants a box. Ask us if you are unsure which pack to start with.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers the SystemRoMedic AntiSlip across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We can show you where to place it under the feet, and how it sits with a slide sheet, before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a pad first. For a scheduled drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased goods ship on a scheduled date.

This pad is a smaller good. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer can apply when it ships on its own. If it travels with an oversized lift or a bed, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

What this pad works with

AntiSlip is a pad you place. It is not attached to a lift. For a sit-to-stand, SystemRoMedic names EasyBelt or FlexiBelt. We already sell EasyBelt. Ask us to add the belt size on the same quote.

For a higher-up-in-bed move, SystemRoMedic names a friction-reducing device under the shoulders. We already sell EasySlide and WendyLett for that job. See EasySlide when you need a soft sheet. Ask us to add WendyLett if the bed needs a 2-way or 4-way sheet set.

If the person can stand and turn on a platform, start with the Handicare ReTurn or the QuickMove sit-to-stand aid. If the rise needs power, see the Handicare MiniLift. Those are not sizes of this pad.

Service, repairs, and warranty

When a pad wears out, you call the shop that sold it, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.

SystemRoMedic AntiSlip warranty

The current instructions print an expected lifetime of up to 10 years of normal use. They do not print a separate warranty year count. Inspect the pad before every use. Do the friction test against a new pad if the grip starts to fade. Discard it if the surface is worn, faded, or dented. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SystemRoMedic AntiSlip?

It is a red closed-cell polyethylene friction pad. You place it under the feet, or between two sliding surfaces, when you need grip instead of slide. It is not a slide sheet and it is not a hard transfer board.

What article packs can I quote?

Three live Savaria codes: 8040 (1 pc), 8045 (10 pcs), and 8046 (30 pcs). The pad is 17.7 in x 15 in on every code. We will match the selector to one of those articles.

What is the safe working load?

200 kg (440 lb) on 8040, 8045, and 8046. Stay inside that number for the person plus anything they wear or hold.

How is AntiSlip different from EasySlide?

EasySlide is a fabric tubular slide sheet. AntiSlip is a friction pad. Use EasySlide when you want a person to slide. Use AntiSlip when you want the feet, or a sliding surface, to stay put.

How do I use it to move someone higher up in bed?

Place AntiSlip under the feet. SystemRoMedic also names a friction-reducing device under the shoulders so the upper body can slide while the feet push. We already sell EasySlide and WendyLett for that upper-body job.

How do I use it for a sit-to-stand?

Place AntiSlip under the feet so they do not slide as the person stands. SystemRoMedic says to add EasyBelt or FlexiBelt when the person needs support. We already sell EasyBelt. Ask us to add it on the same quote.

Does a belt or a slide sheet come with the pad?

No. The quote is the pad in the pack you pick. Add EasyBelt for a supported sit-to-stand. Add EasySlide or WendyLett when the job is in bed.

How do I clean AntiSlip?

Wipe the surface with warm water or soap. If you need to disinfect, SystemRoMedic names 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol, or similar. Do not crush the pad. Hard pressure can leave dents.

Which pack should I pick?

8040 is one pad and is the default. 8045 is ten pads. 8046 is thirty pads. Pick a box when more than one room or more than one caregiver will keep a pad on hand. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will choose with you.

Can I use it between two slide sheets?

Yes. Savaria and SystemRoMedic describe AntiSlip as a restraining surface between materials in their sliding products. That is how you stop one sheet from creeping on another. Follow each sheet's own manual for the rest of the transfer.

How fast can a purchased AntiSlip be delivered in the GTA?

This is a smaller good. Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased pad.

What is the warranty on AntiSlip?

The manufacturer manuals do not print a year term. They print an expected lifetime of up to 10 years of normal use. Inspect the pad before use and stop using it if the grip is gone. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
