Description
The AquaSense toilet safety rails, item 770-665, are AMG's on-floor aluminum rails for getting on and off the toilet. Westin Healthcare sells them, delivers them, and can set them for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. AquaSense and Drive print a 250 lb (113 kg) weight limit and a height band of 28 to 32 inches (71.1 to 81.3 cm).
These rails stand on the floor around the toilet. They are not Drive RTL12000. That Drive frame uses a toilet bracket, padded arms, a 19 to 23.50 inch width, and a 300 lb rating. The current numbers you may have seen on older 770-665 copy (19 to 23.5 inches, 18.5 inch depth, 4 lb) belong to that Drive frame, not to this AquaSense rail.
Floor rails around the toilet
The Drive-hosted AquaSense card names this model "to Floor" and "On-Floor." Each leg has a non-skid, non-slip tip. Plastic armrests sit on a rust-resistant aluminum frame. The AMG QuickStart shows push-button clicks and two width marks: 18 inches (45.7 cm) or 21 inches. Height marks are 28 to 32 inches. AMG prints that assembly is extremely easy. The rails do not bolt to the toilet and they are not wall grab bars.
AMG does not print stud or wall-anchor steps. Set the tips on a flat floor. If a leg rocks, stop and reset the height clicks before anyone uses the rails. We can set the height and width at delivery.
- AquaSense 770-665 on-floor rails with plastic armrests
- 18 or 21 inches between arms, 28 to 32 inches high, 250 lb (113 kg)
- Not RTL12000 and not a wall grab bar
AquaSense Toilet Safety Rails specifications
These figures are for AquaSense item 770-665 as printed on Drive's current shop card and the AMG 770-665 QuickStart. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Rust-resistant aluminum frame. Plastic armrests. Non-skid, non-slip tip on each leg. Height 28 to 32 inches (71.1 to 81.3 cm). Width between arms 18 inches (45.7 cm) or 21 inches. Weight capacity 250 lb (113 kg). Limited Lifetime warranty for the original user; AMG excludes non-durable wear parts and voids the term after alterations, abuse, misuse, or accidental damage. Drive lists 770-665 as AqS Toilet Rail, On-Floor, 1EA. Drive and AMG do not print a 4 lb unit weight, an 18.5 inch depth, or a 19 to 23.5 inch width on these sheets.
Floor rails or toilet-attached frame
770-665 stands on the floor. A toilet-attached frame such as the Drive Toilet Safety Frame with Padded Arms uses a bracket on the toilet and a 300 lb rating. The Drive Free-Standing Toilet Safety Rail also stands around the bowl, with a magazine rack and a 300 lb rating. If you need a wall bar instead of floor rails, see the AquaSense knurled chrome grab bar and follow that bar's own mount sheet.
Funding help for bathroom safety equipment in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund bathroom safety equipment, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

AquaSense manufacturer warranty
AMG's 770-665 QuickStart prints a limited lifetime term for the original user: free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of that user. It does not extend to non-durable parts that wear and need replacement. Alterations, abuse, misuse, or accidental damage void the term. AMG's Canada number on that sheet is 1-800-363-2381. We handle the warranty claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
How Do You Install AquaSense Toilet Safety Rails?
AquaSense 770-665 stands on the floor around the toilet. The AMG QuickStart shows push-button clicks for width (18 or 21 inches) and height (28 to 32 inches). We set those clicks at delivery in Brampton and the GTA. The rails do not bolt to the toilet.
Do Toilet Safety Rails Need Wall Studs?
AquaSense 770-665 is not a wall grab bar. AMG and Drive do not print stud or wall-anchor steps for these rails. The printed mount is on-floor legs with non-slip tips.
How High Should Toilet Safety Rails Be?
AquaSense 770-665 adjusts from 28 to 32 inches (71.1 to 81.3 cm). That is the height AMG and Drive print for this model. We set the clicks with you at delivery.
What Is the Width Between the Arms?
The AMG QuickStart for 770-665 prints 18 inches (45.7 cm) or 21 inches between arms. It does not print 19 to 23.5 inches. That wider band belongs to Drive RTL12000.
What Is the Weight Capacity?
Drive and AquaSense list 250 lb (113 kg) on the 770-665 card. Stay at or under that rating. Do not use a 300 lb Drive-frame figure on this rail.
Is This the Same as the Drive Toilet Safety Frame?
No. AquaSense 770-665 is an on-floor rail at 250 lb. The Drive toilet safety frame with padded arms is RTL12000, a toilet-bracket frame at 300 lb. Westin sells both.
Can I Use This With a Raised Toilet Seat?
AMG does not print a raised-seat pairing on the 770-665 QuickStart. A riser changes bowl height and may change how the rails sit. We check both together before we leave them in place. See the AquaSense 770-618 if you also need seat height.
What Is the Warranty?
AMG prints a limited lifetime term for the original user of 770-665. Wear parts sit outside that term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
