Description

The Drive Adjustable Furniture Risers 6299 (Large) are multi-laminated plywood blocks that lift a conventional bed or chair 3 to 6 inches. Each block has a 4-inch cut-out for a furniture leg and three wood inserts. Westin Healthcare sells them from Brampton for homes across the Greater Toronto Area. Drive's listed capacity is 500 lb (227 kg). One block is required per leg.

Which beds this fits

These risers fit furniture legs that sit in a 4-inch (10 cm) cut-out. That is a regular home bed, a sofa, or a chair with square or round legs. Drive's own words are "elevate the users bed" and "cut-out for your furniture legs."

They do not replace a hospital bed's height function. Typical hospital-bed casters (the Drive Delta hi-low, the Drive 15005LP, the Harmony 8199, and the other frames we sell) are not 4-inch furniture legs. A hospital bed stays on its own casters. If the person needs a lower or higher hospital deck, choose a hi-low frame instead of risers.

Drive 6299 specifications

This listing is the Large 6299 block, not the Medium 6298. Drive's spec sheet prints a 4-inch cut-out, a 7-inch block height, a 4-inch inside diameter, three wood inserts, and a 3 to 6 inch (7.6 to 15.2 cm) lift. Reverse the block or add and remove inserts to change the height. Material is multi-laminated plywood. Capacity is 500 lb (227 kg). Drive does not print a warranty line on this sheet.

Drive says one block is required per leg. A typical four-leg bed or chair needs four blocks. Order the quantity that matches the number of legs. The Medium 6298 sibling (2 to 3 inches, two inserts) is a different SKU. Ask us if 2 to 3 inches is enough.

Warranty

If a block we sold splits or does not match the Drive 6299 sheet, call the shop. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.

Drive manufacturer warranty

Drive's current 6299 spec sheet does not print a warranty term. We will still take the service call on a unit purchased from Westin. Do not treat these blocks as a lifetime-rated hospital product.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the 6298 or the 6299?

The SKU on this product is 6299, the Large riser, 3 to 6 inches with three inserts. 6298 is the Medium, 2 to 3 inches with two inserts. Ask us if you need the Medium instead.

Will these raise a hospital bed?

No. Hospital-bed casters do not sit in a 4-inch furniture cut-out. Use a hi-low hospital bed, such as the Drive Delta hi-low or the Drive 15005LP, when you need a lower or higher deck.

How many do I need?

One block per leg. A four-leg bed or chair needs four. Drive does not sell 6299 as a labelled 4-pack on the spec sheet.

What is the weight rating?

Drive lists 500 lb (227 kg). That is the printed capacity of the 6299 block. Keep the load even, and use a block under every leg.

How do I set the height?

Add or remove the three wood inserts, or reverse the block. Large 6299 covers 3 to 6 inches. Measure the furniture leg so it sits fully in the 4-inch cut-out.

What are they made of?

Multi-laminated plywood. Wipe them dry if they get wet. They are indoor furniture blocks, not outdoor pads.

Can I use them on a recliner or sofa?

Yes, if every leg fits the 4-inch cut-out and you use one block per leg. Unstable or tapered metal feet that do not fill the cut-out are the wrong match.

Is there a Drive warranty on 6299?

Drive's current spec sheet does not print one. Call Westin if a block we sold is damaged or the wrong size, and we will sort it.
