Description
SystemRoMedic DisposableBelt is a single-patient non-woven support belt for sit-to-stand work, sitting transfers, and help while standing or walking. Savaria Patient Care lists it as DisposableBelt. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not EasyBelt and it is not FlexiBelt. Those are the reusable belts we sell: FlexiBelt with a velvet inner, and EasyBelt with a moisture-resistant nylon inner. DisposableBelt stays with one person for a short stay. It has no lift loops or clips. It is not a lifting sling and it is not the disposable ReTurnBelt that hooks to a ReTurn.
Who it is for
This belt is for a person who can take part in a sit-to-stand or a short seated move, when a firm hand on the waist is safer than a lift, and when the belt should be discarded instead of washed. SystemRoMedic names sit-to-stand, wheelchair to bed, toilet or car, and support while standing or walking. Caregivers can work from the side or the front, one or two people, using the vertical and horizontal handles. It is not a device for lifting a person off the surface.
- Homes and care sites that need a short-term belt for one person
- A person whose waist fits the Medium loop (33-37 in) or the Large loop (36-40 in), inside 100 kg (220 lb)
- Sites that do not want to launder a belt between uses
- A longer stay with regular washing belongs on FlexiBelt or EasyBelt, not on this disposable belt
What you get
You get DisposableBelt article 6054. That article is a pack of five belts. Nothing else ships in the carton. EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, and slings stay on their own cards.
Each belt is non-woven polypropylene with a Velcro closure and two size loops, Medium and Large, on the same belt. The body is 47 in x 4 in (120 cm x 10 cm). Handles run vertically and horizontally, with cross-grips at the back. Place the belt below the waist, choose the loop that matches the waist, fasten it, and tighten it. Confirm the waist measurement with our staff before first use.
SystemRoMedic DisposableBelt specifications
These figures are for DisposableBelt 6054, not EasyBelt, not FlexiBelt, and not a gait belt from another brand. SystemRoMedic prints a safe working load of 100 kg (220 lb). Stay inside that number. That is a lower rating than the reusable SystemRoMedic belts. Do not read 170 kg (375 lb) onto this page.
One factory code: 6054, one size M/L, five belts in the pack. Medium loop 33-37 in (84-94 cm). Large loop 36-40 in (92-102 cm). Material is non-woven polypropylene. Do not launder. Discard the belt when it is soiled, worn, or no longer needed by that person. SystemRoMedic marks it as Medical Device Class I under the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. The manual that ships with this family does not print an expected lifetime in years.
Do not read EasyBelt nylon sizes, FlexiBelt hug or classic codes, WalkingBelt 6041-6042, or ReTurnBelt 6031-6038 numbers onto this page.
Delivery in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team can deliver this pack across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sample first. For a scheduled drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works.
This is a small carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships on its own. If it travels with an oversized lift or a bed, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
What this belt works with
DisposableBelt is a waist belt. It is not attached to a lift. When the same home or care site also needs a belt that can be washed and kept, start with the reusable belts we already sell. FlexiBelt is the velvet-inside hug belt. EasyBelt is the moisture-resistant nylon-inside belt for wet rooms. Ask us to add that size on the same quote.
This is not the disposable ReTurnBelt. If the person uses a ReTurn sit-to-stand platform, the companion belt is ReTurnBelt, not DisposableBelt. See the Handicare ReTurn for the platform.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When a belt is soiled or worn out, you call the shop that sold it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
SystemRoMedic DisposableBelt warranty
The manual that ships with this belt does not print a warranty term in years. Inspect the belt before every use. Discard it when the cloth, seams, Velcro, or handles show wear, or when it is soiled. Westin Healthcare processes the claim with you. Ask us what cover applies to your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is the SystemRoMedic DisposableBelt?
It is a single-patient non-woven waist belt for sit-to-stand, sitting transfers, and help while standing or walking. You discard it when it is soiled or when that person no longer needs it. You do not wash it.
How is DisposableBelt different from EasyBelt and FlexiBelt?
DisposableBelt is non-woven and is not laundered. FlexiBelt has a velvet inner and is the reusable hug belt. EasyBelt has a PU-coated nylon inner and is the reusable belt SystemRoMedic names for moisture and hygiene rooms. We sell FlexiBelt and EasyBelt. They are not sizes of DisposableBelt.
What is the safe working load?
100 kg (220 lb) on 6054. Stay inside that number and inside the Medium or Large loop that fits the waist. Do not use FlexiBelt's 170 kg (375 lb) figure on this belt.
What sizes can I quote?
One factory article: 6054, one size M/L. The same belt has a Medium loop (33-37 in) and a Large loop (36-40 in). Pick the loop that matches the waist after the belt is on.
How many belts come in 6054?
Five. The quote is the 6054 pack. Ask us if you need more than one pack for a care site.
Is DisposableBelt a lifting belt or a sling?
No. SystemRoMedic says it must not be used as an assistive device for lifting. It has no lift loops or clips. Use a patient lift and a matching sling when the person cannot take part in the stand.
Can I wash DisposableBelt?
No. Read the product label. Do not launder it. Discard it if it is soiled or if that person no longer needs it.
How long can one person use a belt?
It stays with one person for a short stay. SystemRoMedic says disposable transfer aids may be used for one user through a hospital stay. Discard it sooner if it is soiled, worn, or no longer required.
How many caregivers does it take?
One or two, depending on the person. Two caregivers stand one on each side, use the rear cross-grips, and hold a hand at the front. Lean the person forward before the rise.
How fast can a purchased DisposableBelt be delivered in the GTA?
This is a smaller good. Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased belt pack.
What is the warranty on DisposableBelt?
The manufacturer manual does not print a year term. Inspect the belt before use and stop using it if it is worn or soiled. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
