Description
SystemRoMedic WalkingBelt is a pediatric torso support for gait training. Savaria Patient Care lists it as WalkingBelt. It wraps the child's torso, stays down with a padded leg harness, and gives the caregiver two padded shoulder straps to hold. The child's hands stay free. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not an adult waist gait belt. EasyBelt and FlexiBelt sit around an adult waist. This is not a walking sling. A walking sling hangs from a patient lift. WalkingBelt is a manual belt. It is not a lifting device and it has no loops or clips.
Who it is for
This belt is for a child who can take part in gait training but needs guided support because of impaired strength or stability. SystemRoMedic names support around the torso, held in place by a padded leg harness, while the caregiver holds the two shoulder straps. Stay close to the child. Stop at the first sign of discomfort. It is not a device for lifting a child off the surface.
- Homes, clinics, and care sites that walk with a child during gait training
- A child whose weight fits the recommended band on the quote, inside 50 kg (110 lb)
- Caregivers who want the child's hands free while they hold the shoulder straps
- An adult sit-to-stand or short walk belongs on EasyBelt or FlexiBelt, not on this pediatric belt
What you get
You get one WalkingBelt in the article on your quote. Nothing else ships in the carton. NameTag can be quoted as a separate label if you want it. EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, ReTurnBelt, walking slings, and gait trainers stay on their own cards.
The belt body is polyamide and polyester with a soft polyester lining and an anti-slip function. A padded leg harness holds the torso belt in place. Two padded shoulder straps adjust in length so the caregiver can keep a comfortable stance with relatively straight arms. Place the belt around the child's waist, put the arms through the shoulder straps, and fasten it. Place the leg harness under the child, fasten it, and tighten it enough for support without discomfort. You may need to retighten the waist strap and the leg harness once the child is standing. Confirm the size with our staff before first use.
SystemRoMedic WalkingBelt specifications
These figures are for the current WalkingBelt family, not EasyBelt, not FlexiBelt, not ReTurnBelt, and not Walking Sling M921503. The default belt on this page is 6041, WalkingBelt XXS, measurement 23.6 in (600 mm), recommended user weight 0-25 kg (0-55 lb). SystemRoMedic prints a safe working load of 50 kg (110 lb) on every WalkingBelt code. Stay inside that number and inside the recommended weight band for the size you receive.
Sizes: 6041 XXS, 23.6 in (600 mm), recommended 0-25 kg (0-55 lb); 6042 XS, 27.6 in (700 mm), recommended 20-35 kg (44-77 lb). The manufacturer prints one measurement per size, not a min-max waist range. Expected lifetime is up to 10 years of normal use. SystemRoMedic marks the belt as Medical Device Class I under MDR 2017/745. Wash at 60-80 C (140-176 F). Do not use fabric softener. Avoid tumble-drying. Inspect seams, cloth, buckles, and handles after every wash and discard the belt if it is worn or faded. Do not read EasyBelt or FlexiBelt waist bands, or Walking Sling M921503 sizes, onto this page.

What this belt works with
WalkingBelt is a child's torso belt. It is not attached to a lift. For an adult sit-to-stand or a short adult walk, start with EasyBelt or FlexiBelt. We already sell EasyBelt. FlexiBelt is the velvet hug sibling. Ask us to add the right adult belt on the same quote if the user is not a child.
If the person uses a ReTurn sit-to-stand platform, the companion belt is ReTurnBelt, not WalkingBelt. See the Handicare ReTurn for the platform. If the child also needs a walking frame, see the RoWalker 400 gait trainer. A walking sling that hangs from a ceiling lift or floor lift is a different product and stays on its own card.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When a belt wears out, you call the shop that sold it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
SystemRoMedic WalkingBelt warranty
The manuals that ship with this family do not print a warranty term in years. They print an expected lifetime of up to 10 years of normal use. Inspect the belt after every wash and replace it when the cloth, seams, buckles, or handles show wear. Westin Healthcare processes the claim with you. Ask us what cover applies to your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is the SystemRoMedic WalkingBelt?
It is a pediatric torso support for gait training. A padded leg harness holds the belt on the child's torso. The caregiver holds two padded shoulder straps. The child's hands stay free.
How is WalkingBelt different from EasyBelt or FlexiBelt?
EasyBelt and FlexiBelt are adult waist belts for sit-to-stand and short walks. WalkingBelt is sized for children, wraps the torso, and uses a padded leg harness plus shoulder straps. They are not sizes of each other. See EasyBelt and FlexiBelt for the adult belts.
How is WalkingBelt different from a walking sling?
A walking sling hangs from a patient lift and uses lift loops. WalkingBelt is a manual belt. It has no lift loops or clips and must not be used to lift a child off the surface.
What sizes can I quote?
Two factory articles. 6041 XXS, 23.6 in, recommended 0-55 lb. 6042 XS, 27.6 in, recommended 44-77 lb. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will match the child's weight with you.
What is the safe working load?
50 kg (110 lb) on every WalkingBelt article on this page. Also stay inside the recommended user-weight band printed for the size you receive.
Is WalkingBelt a lifting belt or a sling?
No. SystemRoMedic says it is not an assistive device for lifting. Use a patient lift and a matching sling when the child cannot take part in the walk.
How do I put it on?
Place it around the waist, put the child's arms through the shoulder straps, and fasten it. Place the padded leg harness under the child and tighten it enough for support without discomfort. Adjust the shoulder straps so you can keep relatively straight arms. Retighten once the child is standing if needed.
How do I wash WalkingBelt?
Wash at 60-80 C (140-176 F). Read the product label that ships on the belt. Do not use fabric softener. Avoid tumble-drying. Inspect it after every wash.
How many caregivers does it take?
The instructions show one caregiver holding both shoulder straps, staying close, and watching the child's signals. Stop the session at the first sign of discomfort.
How fast can a purchased WalkingBelt be delivered in the GTA?
This is a smaller good. Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased belt.
What is the warranty on WalkingBelt?
The manufacturer manuals do not print a year term. Inspect the belt before use and stop using it if it is worn. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
