Description

The Bure walking table is a quote-only indoor walker for sit-to-stand and walking practice. GATE Rehab Development AB in Reftele, Sweden designed the Bure line. Direct Healthcare Group acquired GATE in 2020. The current manufacturer is Direct Healthcare Group Sverige AB. Savaria Patient Care lists the Standard, Double 2.0, and XL tables in North America. It is not a Handicare-designed lift, even though some catalogues file it under that channel. Westin Healthcare quotes it, delivers it, and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

This page is the walking-table family. It is not the Bure Rise and Go. Rise and Go is a different Bure product with a manufacturer stand-up harness. If the clinic wants a non-powered early-walking frame with seat pads, see the RoWalker 400. If the person needs a sling sit-to-stand floor lift, see the Drive sit-to-stand lift.

Who it is for

Use only the manufacturer's intended-use sentence. Direct Healthcare Group writes that these walkers, with approved accessories, are intended for transfer from sitting to standing, and for walking training. They are to be used by persons with reduced muscular strength who shall be able to stand and perform simple leg movements. They are to be used for leaning on when walking and standing during early mobilization training. They are intended for indoor use only, in a home healthcare environment or a professional healthcare facility.

The same instructions forbid use above the maximum weight on the device label. They also say to perform a risk assessment on the person before using the walker, to make sure they can stand and make simple movements. This is not a full-body hoist for a person who cannot stand. The Standard and Double tables must not be used by a person 146 cm (4 ft 9 in) or shorter.

  • Indoor rehab, hospital, long-term care, or home healthcare after a clinician has assessed the person
  • Users within 150 kg (330 lb) on Standard or Double 2.0, or within 240 kg on XL, who can stand and make simple leg movements
  • Teams that want an electric walking table, not a sling lift and not the Rise and Go harness

How it supports standing and walking

The Bure walking table is a walker first. Anatomical armrest pads take the load at the forearms. Handles adjust in every direction so the person can keep a familiar grip. The caregiver locks the brakes, asks the person to sit on the edge of the bed or chair and lean forward on the armrests, then presses UP on the hand control. The electric actuator raises the table. After standing, the brakes come off and the person walks indoors with support. That table-raise assist is not the Rise and Go harness.

Double 2.0 adds a second actuator that widens the walking frame so the base can open toward a wheelchair or a bed. XL is the wider, heavier table. DHG is plain about staffing. The device cannot be used by the patient alone. Do not leave the person unattended while the walker is in use. We will plan the first session with you.

Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts or other lifting devices. Funding routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship funding programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this walking table across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the equipment first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Quoted units are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Walking tables are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the unit is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Accessories and which walking aid this is

This is not a Hoyer lift and it has no spreader bar. The only support textile DHG names on this walker is the optional gait-training kit 56-388, which clips to mounts under the table. The instructions say to use only approved accessories. Do not hang a universal, toileting, or sit-to-stand sling from this frame. If the care plan needs a sling transfer, use a floor lift and pick from our sit-to-stand slings or universal slings on that lift, not on this walking table.

If the care plan wants the Bure stand-up harness and power-rise function, stay with the Bure Rise and Go. If the clinic wants a non-powered walking aid with split seat pads, see the RoWalker 400. If the person cannot stand and needs a sling sit-to-stand, see the Drive sit-to-stand lift.

Service, repairs, and warranty

When something on the walker needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Manufacturer warranty

DHG's current Standard and Double instructions do not print a year count. They say the warranty applies only if repairs or alterations are made by personnel authorized by Direct Healthcare Group. An older XL user manual printed two years for manufacturing faults, excluding wear parts. Westin Healthcare processes the claim with you. Ask us what term is on the quote.

Frequently asked questions

Does funding cover a patient lift in Ontario?

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not cover patient lifts. Other routes can help when the person and the assessment fit, including ODSP, March of Dimes Canada, and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare works with those programs every week. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before anyone starts paperwork.

How is this different from the Bure Rise and Go?

This page is the walking-table family: Standard, Double 2.0, and XL. The person leans on the armrests and the electric table rises. The Bure Rise and Go is a different Bure product. It uses a manufacturer stand-up harness for a power-rise stand, and Westin already sells it as its own listing.

What is the safe working load?

Standard Electric and Double 2.0 are 150 kg (330 lb). XL is 240 kg. Do not use the walker above the weight on the device label.

Who may use it, according to the manufacturer?

DHG says it is for persons with reduced muscular strength who shall be able to stand and perform simple leg movements, for indoor sit-to-stand and walking training. Perform a risk assessment first. Standard and Double must not be used by a person 146 cm or shorter.

Can the person use it alone?

No. DHG writes that the device cannot be used by the patient alone, and not to leave the person unattended while the walker is in use.

Is this a sit-to-stand floor lift?

No. It is an indoor walking table. It is not a Hoyer-style sit-to-stand with a spreader bar. For that class, see the Drive sit-to-stand lift.

What slings fit this walker?

None from our sling categories. Use only approved Bure accessories. The optional gait-training kit is 56-388. Do not hang a universal or sit-to-stand sling from this frame.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. DHG's instructions say the device must not be used outdoors, only indoors, on a dry, flat surface.

How do I choose Standard, Double 2.0, or XL?

Pick Standard Electric when you want electric height on a fixed-width frame inside 150 kg. Pick Double 2.0 when you also need the frame to widen electrically toward a wheelchair or a bed. Pick XL when the person is inside 240 kg and needs the wider table.

How is this different from the RoWalker 400?

The Bure walking table is powered. Height is electric, and Double 2.0 also widens the frame electrically. The RoWalker 400 is a non-powered walking aid with split seat pads. Its SWL is 180 kg (400 lb). The person must already be able to stand with support and grasp the handles.

How do I buy it?

This is a quote-only item. Call (905) 451-7743 or send an enquiry. We confirm the model code, accessories, and setup date before we order.

What warranty years should I expect?

The current Standard and Double instructions do not print a year count. Ask us to put the term on the quote. Service is required at least once every 12 months.
