These positioners are for a surgical team, a recovery unit, or a home that needs a named Span+Aids foam shape after hip, knee, chest, or spine work. They are non-powered. They sit on the bed, the O.R. table, or the armboard named on that code.
Families and unit buyers usually call us when the order names an abduction pillow after hip surgery, a total-knee elevator, or an O.R. kit. If the person also needs a Span sleep surface we already stock, we will quote that bed or mattress on the same visit.

Construction and how they work
Each code is a cut foam positioner for one site. Selected codes are vacuum packed to save storage. All items on this family conform to California Technical Bulletin 117.
Abduction pillows use adjustable Velfoam straps. Comfort-band codes add a cotton comfort band. Contour codes add contoured leg channels. The Open Heart Surgery Kit holds each leg in externally rotated position for vein presentation. Special cuts allow for drainage tubes and sensors. Each kit includes 2 leg positioners, 2 heel protectors and 2 leg toppers.
The Heel Protector on this page provides comfort and protection. The adjustable strap allows a custom fit. Heel Manager is a separate dual-leg offloading elevator. The O.R. Most codes ship in a small carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when they ship without a bed or a lift. Which beds and rooms these positioners fit
Span does not name a bed brand for this family. The abduction pillows sit between the legs on the sleep surface. O.R. Armboard Pads are used on O.R. table armboards. The Thoracotomy Arm Sling is used with an ether screen bar. Tell us the procedure and the bed width and we will lock the matching code.

How is this different from Head and Body positioners?
Head and Body holds the Geo-Matt Pillow, Head Support, the O.R. Head Positioner, positioning rolls, and the 30 degree and 45 degree body wedges. This page's O.R. Table Pillow is the segmented-square surgical head pillow. Ask us for Head and Body when the plan names a wedge or a Geo-Matt pillow.
How is the Heel Protector different from Heel Manager?
The Heel Protector on this page is a foam wrap with an adjustable strap. Heel Manager is a separate dual-leg offloading elevator with a wipe-clean cover. Ask us for Heel Manager when the order names that elevator.

Yes. Abduction pillows sit on the sleep surface. We already sell the Span America Encore and the Span America Advantage if the room also needs a Span bed. Measure the person and we will pick the abduction size.
What is the Total Knee Leg Elevator?
It is used in knee replacement surgery and elevates the leg in a flexed position. The 90 Degree Leg Elevator bends the knee at a 90 degree angle for surgery or physical therapy. Both are on the picker.
What is the warranty?
