The MK 8A27 battery is a 12 V group 27 sealed AGM cell for large mobility scooters and outdoor power chairs. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and can swap it in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. East Penn's March 2026 Marine Master sheet prints 92 Ah at the 20-hour rate on the 8A27M row. That is the official rating. The older 97 Ah name on some cartons is not the current 20-hour figure.
Who this battery is for
This is the sealed group 27 AGM, not the flooded DC27 and not the 8G27 gel. It belongs in a group 27 tray that the device maker specifies as sealed AGM. Baja Wrangler 2 official batteries are 75 Ah or 100 Ah pairs. We will not claim a Wrangler fit unless the old cell is a group 27 AGM of this size. Bring the old battery or a photo.
MK 8A27 battery chemistry and pairs
East Penn lists 8A27M under 12-volt AGM heavy-duty deep cycle service. Footnotes 38 and 39 rate it non-spillable by DOT and by ICAO/IATA. It is not a flooded wet cell. Most large scooters still run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V. Westin sells the 8A27 as a single 12 V battery. Order two and replace both together.

Group 27 AGM or flooded: which sibling fits
Stay on sealed AGM if the old cell is sealed. The flooded group 27 is the MK DC27, a marine/RV wet cell. A group 24 AGM tray takes the MK 8A24. A 22NF tray takes the MK 8A22NF.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather bring the old group 27 in. Same-day replacement is offered on that battery replacement service; purchased batteries that ship without a technician are delivered on a scheduled date.
Each cell is 61.5 lb. A pair is freight. If the order is going outside the GTA, ask us for a shipping quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Is This 92 Ah Or 97 Ah?
The MK 8A27 battery is 92 Ah at the 20-hour rate on East Penn's current Marine Master sheet. Some older names print 97 Ah. We sell and describe the current 92 Ah 20-hour rating.
Do Mobility Batteries Come In Pairs?
Most large scooters run two 12 V batteries in series for 24 V. Westin sells the 8A27 as a single 12 V cell. Order two and replace both together.
Is A Flooded DC27 The Same Battery?
No. The DC27 is a flooded marine/RV deep-cycle cell at 90 Ah (20 hr) and 53.5 lb. The 8A27 is a sealed AGM at 92 Ah and 61.5 lb. They do not swap unless the device maker allows both chemistries in that tray.
Can I Replace Scooter Batteries Myself?
A group 27 AGM is 61.5 lb. The tray is deep. Westin can do the swap in Brampton and the GTA through the battery replacement service if you want the lift and the recycle handled here.
What Is The Warranty?
East Penn prints a 12-month free-replacement column, with a shorter term in full electric-vehicle use. Westin Healthcare processes the manufacturer claim.
