The Travel Buggy Aerolux 2C is the current carbon-fiber folding power chair from the Canadian manufacturer Travel Buggy. It is the 2C, not the original Aerolux. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The person drives with the joystick. The frame cross-folds side to side. Travel Buggy prints a 12 inch folded width.
Travel Buggy's current Canadian card lists a 33 lb net weight, a 350 lb capacity, and a 20 km (12.5 mile) range on one 24V 10Ah lithium pack. The compare table now also prints 36 lb with the battery on. A second bay takes another pack if you want more range. Travel Buggy prints Airline Approved Battery on the card. If you want a heavier-capacity front-fold instead of this carbon lift, start with the City 2 Plus.

This chair is for a person who wants a carbon folding power chair they can lift at 33 lb, who fits the 18 by 17 inch seat, and who stays at or under Travel Buggy's Canadian 350 lb rating. Families usually call us when a 60 lb folder is too much to load, or when they want a 12 inch folded width for a small trunk.

Design and build
The frame is 100 percent carbon fiber. Dual 200 W brushless motors drive 12 inch rear wheels. Front wheels are 8 inch. Travel Buggy prints a 32.5 inch turning radius, a 12 degree incline, and a 20 inch floor-to-seat height. The seat cushion is 2.5 inch memory foam. The back is 16 inches and the height can be set. Each footrest has three heights. Armrest spacers take the space between the arms to 19.5 inches. A cup holder is included. A caregiver remote is sold separately.
Pull up on the seat and the frame folds in, like an accordion. Travel Buggy prints 31.5 by 12 by 29.5 inches folded. The owner manual says not to use the chair as a seat in a moving vehicle.

These figures are from Travel Buggy's current Canadian Aerolux 2C card and the compare-models table. The specification tab holds the stored values. That card lists 350 lb, 20 km (12.5 mi), 6 km/h (3.7 mph), 12 degrees, 32.5 inch turn, 33 lb net, 39 by 25 by 35 inches open, 31.5 by 12 by 29.5 inches folded, 18 by 17 inch seat, and Li-Ion 24 V / 10 Ah. The compare table also prints 36 lb with the battery on.
Do not mix these numbers with the City 2 Plus. That chair is 60 lb, 400 lb, 25 km, and a 23 inch folded width. Do not mix them with the original Aerolux (the 29 lb / 11.2 mile copy still sitting in older text). Do not mix them with Manual V2's older table (300 lb, 15 km, 250 Wh).
Warranty on Travel Buggy's policy page and in Manual V2 for the original purchaser is 5 years on the main frame, 2 years on the motors, 1 year on the control system and battery, and 90 days on wear items. Parts ship from Canada. Labour is not included.

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a power wheelchair when the need is long-term and the chair is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. How Far Will The Aerolux 2C Go On A Charge?
The Travel Buggy Aerolux 2C travels up to 20 km (12.5 miles) on one battery. A second pack in the spare bay extends that range. Range changes with the person's weight, the ground, and how much you stop and start.
What Batteries And Charger Does It Use?
The Travel Buggy Aerolux 2C card prints Li-Ion 24 V / 10 Ah. The spare-battery card prints 25.55 V, 10.4 Ah, 265.72 Wh, airplane-compliant. Manual V2 prints a 24V 3A charger and about 3.5 hours. The charger is 100-240V. Confirm the charger in the box on delivery.
Will It Fold Into A Car Trunk?
Travel Buggy prints 31.5 by 12 by 29.5 inches folded and a 12 inch folded width. Pull up on the seat and the frame folds in. The owner manual says not to sit in it in a moving vehicle.
Can I Take The Aerolux 2C On An Airplane?
Travel Buggy prints Airline Approved Battery on the chair card, and airplane-compliant 265.72 Wh on the spare pack. The FAQ says folding chairs sit in the approved category. Air Canada and WestJet still set their own rules. Ask the airline before you book. We only repeat what Travel Buggy prints.
Is This The Original Aerolux Or The 2C?
This is the Travel Buggy Aerolux 2C, the current carbon model. Travel Buggy says it builds on the original. Do not use the old 29 lb / 11.2 mile figures. The current card is 33 lb and 20 km.
What Seat Width Do I Need?
The Travel Buggy Aerolux 2C cushion is 18 by 17 inches. Spacers take the space between the arms from 18.5 to 19.5 inches. Measure the seated hip width and leave a little room on each side.
What Is The Weight Capacity?
Travel Buggy's current Canadian spec table prints 350 lbs. The US card still prints 300 lb as the current FDA rating. We print the Canadian card for this storefront. Stay at or under the rating on the chair you receive.
What Is The Chair Weight?
Travel Buggy prints 33 lb net. The compare table prints 36 lb with the battery on. Manual V2 says that 33 lb excludes the battery and the seat cushion. We print 33 lb the way the current card prints it.
