Description
ErgoSafe ErgoBelts are caregiver transfer and gait belts with four handles and an adjustable buckle. Savaria Patient Care lists the family as ErgoSafe ErgoBelts. Westin Healthcare quotes them and delivers them for homes and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not EasyBelt. EasyBelt is the moisture-resistant SystemRoMedic belt we already sell. This is not FlexiBelt. FlexiBelt is the hug-style velvet belt. This is not ReTurnBelt. ReTurnBelt hooks to the Handicare ReTurn. An ErgoBelt sits around the waist or the upper torso. It is not a lifting sling and it has no lift loops or clips.
Who it is for
This belt is for a person who can walk on their own but needs a firm hand from a caregiver, and for sit-to-stand or short transfer help when a gait belt is safer than a lift. Handicare names walking assistance, transferring, gait training, standing training, and help to rise or sit. Fasten the belt snugly around the waist, or around the upper body just under the arms. It is not a device for lifting a person off the surface.
- Homes and care sites that walk or transfer a person who can take part
- A person whose torso fits the model on the quote
- Caregivers who want four handles and a plastic buckle that clips shut
- A wet bathroom transfer belongs on EasyBelt, not on this gait belt
What you get
You get one ErgoBelt in the article on your quote. Nothing else ships in the carton. EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, ReTurnBelt, and slings stay on their own cards.
Standard 230200 is a nylon belt with four loop handles and a comfort-finish plastic buckle. It fits 22 in to 49 in (56 cm to 124.5 cm). Plus 230210 is a padded belt with four large padded vertical handles. It fits 29 in to 49 in (73.5 cm to 124.5 cm). Plus Nonslip 230211 uses the same padded four-handle layout with a non-slip inner. Slide the buckle clip into the lock until it is fastened. Press the sides of the clip to open it. Check that the straps are not twisted. Confirm the waist or torso measurement with our staff before first use.
ErgoSafe ErgoBelts specifications
These figures are for the current ErgoSafe family, not EasyBelt, not FlexiBelt, not ReTurnBelt, and not a gait belt from another brand. The default belt on this page is 230210, ErgoBelt Plus 3100. The padded body is 28 in long and 5.5 in high (71 cm by 14 cm) with four padded handles. Standard 230200 has an overall strap length of 54 in (137 cm) and four nylon loops. The current Handicare manuals and Savaria data sheets do not print a safe working load. Use the belt only as a transfer and gait aid, and stay inside the fit range for the code you receive.
Handicare says to machine-wash the belt at 80 C (170 F). Hang it to dry, or tumble dry on low heat at 40 C (104 F). Check the belt for wear before each use. The manuals do not print a warranty term in years. Ask us what cover applies to your order. Do not read EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, or ReTurnBelt numbers onto this page.
Sizes and models
Use the Model selector to pick the factory code on your quote:
- 230200: ErgoBelt Standard 3101, 22-49 in, 4 nylon handles
- 230210: ErgoBelt Plus 3100, 29-49 in, 4 padded handles
- 230211: ErgoBelt Plus Nonslip 3100, 4 padded handles, non-slip inner
This page is quote-only. The belt in the code you pick is what ships. EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, ReTurnBelt, and slings are sold separately.

What this belt works with
An ErgoBelt is a waist or torso belt. It is not attached to a lift. For a wet room or a hygiene room, start with EasyBelt. We already sell EasyBelt. Ask us to add that size on the same quote if the transfer is in water.
If you want a hug-style velvet belt for sit-to-stand work, see FlexiBelt. If the person uses a ReTurn sit-to-stand platform, the companion belt is ReTurnBelt, not ErgoBelt. See the Handicare ReTurn for the platform.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When a belt wears out, you call the shop that sold it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
ErgoSafe ErgoBelts warranty
The manuals that ship with this family do not print a warranty term in years. Inspect the belt before use and replace it when the cloth, seams, buckle, or handles show wear. Westin Healthcare processes the claim with you. Ask us what cover applies to your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is an ErgoSafe ErgoBelt?
It is a caregiver transfer and gait belt with four handles and an adjustable plastic buckle. Savaria Patient Care lists the family as ErgoSafe ErgoBelts. Westin Healthcare quotes it for homes and care sites in Brampton and the GTA.
How is ErgoBelt different from EasyBelt?
ErgoBelt is the ErgoSafe gait and transfer family with four handles. EasyBelt is the SystemRoMedic sit-to-stand belt with a PU-coated nylon inner, named for moisture and hygiene rooms. We already sell EasyBelt. They are not sizes of each other.
How is ErgoBelt different from FlexiBelt?
FlexiBelt is a hug-style velvet belt whose horizontal handles slide so the belt stays down. ErgoBelt is the padded or nylon gait belt with four fixed handles. See FlexiBelt if that is the job.
How is ErgoBelt different from ReTurnBelt?
ReTurnBelt is the companion belt for the ReTurn sit-to-stand platform. It hooks to the ladder. ErgoBelt does not. See ReTurnBelt and the ReTurn if that is the job.
Is ErgoBelt a lifting belt or a sling?
No. Handicare says it is not intended for patient lifting. It has no lift loops or clips. Use a patient lift and a matching sling when the person cannot take part in the stand or the walk.
What models and fit ranges can I order?
230200 Standard 3101 fits 22-49 in with four nylon handles. 230210 Plus 3100 fits 29-49 in with four padded handles. 230211 Plus Nonslip uses the same padded four-handle layout with a non-slip inner. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will match the measurement with you.
Do the manuals print a safe working load?
No. The current Handicare IFUs and Savaria data sheets do not print a kilogram or pound rating. Use the belt only as a transfer and gait aid, and stay inside the fit range for the code you receive.
Where does the belt go on the body?
Handicare says to fasten it snugly around the torso: around the waist, or around the upper body just under the arms. Check that the straps are not twisted and that clothing is not bunched under the belt.
How do I wash an ErgoBelt?
Machine-wash it at 80 C (170 F). Hang it to dry, or tumble dry on low heat at 40 C (104 F). Inspect seams, cloth, buckle, and handles before the next use.
How fast can a purchased ErgoBelt be delivered in the GTA?
This is a smaller good. Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased belt.
What is the warranty on ErgoSafe ErgoBelts?
The manufacturer manuals do not print a year term. Inspect the belt before use and stop using it if it is worn. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
