Description
ErgoSafe ErgoSheets are silicone-treated nylon slide sheets for turning a person in bed or moving them higher up the mattress. Savaria Patient Care lists them as ErgoSafe ErgoSheets. Westin Healthcare quotes them and delivers them for homes and care sites in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
This is not a stay-on bed sheet. If the bed needs a 2-way or 4-way sheet that remains in place, that is WendyLett. See WendyLett. This is not a tubular sliding mat. If you want the SystemRoMedic fabric tube we already carry, see EasySlide. This is not ErgoSlide, which is a different ErgoSafe family for bed-to-gurney and multi-direction work. ErgoSheets are the remove-after nylon sheets with (on 2200) webbing handles on all four sides.
Who it is for
This sheet is for a person who needs help turning in bed or sliding higher up the mattress, when two caregivers can work together and then take the sheet off. Handicare writes the 2200 steps for a log-roll placement and a slide done in unison. Do not leave the sheet under the person when the move is finished.
- Homes and care sites that need a named ErgoSafe sheet for in-bed turns and boosts
- Caregivers who want webbing handles on all four sides (2200) rather than a stay-on satin sheet
- Sites that need a thinner Ultra sheet to place a sling in bed or in a chair
- A person whose clinician agrees a manual slide sheet is the right aid
What you get and how the sheet works
You get one ErgoSheet in the model on your quote: 2200 (230100) or Ultra 2400 (230510). Nothing else ships in the carton. EasySlide, WendyLett, FlexiGrip, and slings are sold separately.
On 2200, two heavy-duty nylon sheets are sewn together. Silicone treatment on the nylon is what Savaria names for a low-friction slide. Webbing handles run on all four sides. Lock the bed wheels, set a comfortable working height, and lower the head of the bed unless that is contraindicated. Handicare names the log roll as the preferred way to get the sheet under the person. Place a pillow against the headboard. Each caregiver slides open hands, palms up, through the webbing at the shoulders and hips. On three, slide. Do not lift. Take the sheet off in reverse order when the person is comfortable.
Ultra 2400 is the thinner article. Savaria names it for easier apply and remove, and for applying a sling in bed or in a chair when the person is hard to move or turn. Official Ultra art shows a hemmed edge and no webbing handles.
Handicare says not to leave the ErgoSheet unattended under a person or on their bed. Check the person's skin if the sheet has been in use for an extended time. Ask a registered occupational or physical therapist before you use it with someone who has, or is at risk of, a pressure ulcer.
ErgoSafe ErgoSheets specifications
These figures are for the current ErgoSafe ErgoSheets family, not EasySlide, not WendyLett, and not ErgoSlide. The default sheet on this page is 230100, ErgoSheet 2200, 56 in x 32 in (142 cm x 81 cm). Ultra 230510 is 66 in x 33 in (165 cm x 82.5 cm). The specification tab holds the stored values.
Material is nylon treated with silicone. 2200 is two sheets sewn together with webbing handles on all four sides. Ultra is a thinner nylon with hemmed edges. The 2200 instructions print an expected life of 4 years or more if the sheet is used and laundered correctly. Machine-wash 2200 at 80 C / 170 F. Hang it to dry, or tumble it on low heat at 40 C / 104 F. The 2200 instructions do not print a safe working load. Stay with the person your clinician and our staff match to this sheet.
Do not read EasySlide ULF sizes, WendyLett mattress sizes, or ErgoSlide 2100 / 4400 sizes onto this page.
Model options
Use the Model selector to pick the factory article on your quote. The default is 230100.
- 230100: ErgoSheet 2200, 56 x 32 in, two sheets with webbing handles on all four sides
- 230510: Ultra ErgoSheet 2400, 66 x 33 in, thinner nylon, no webbing handles
This listing is quote-only. The sheet in the code you pick is what ships. Pick 2200 when you want the handled double sheet for a turn or a boost. Pick Ultra when you need the thinner sheet to place a sling, or when apply and remove is the hard part. Ask us if you are unsure which model to start with.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers the ErgoSafe ErgoSheet across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We can show you how the 2200 handles sit at the shoulders and hips, and how the sheet comes off after the move, before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sheet first. For a scheduled drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service; purchased goods ship on a scheduled date.
This sheet is a smaller good. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer can apply when it ships on its own. If it travels with an oversized lift or a bed, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
What this sheet works with
ErgoSafe ErgoSheets are a manual in-bed sheet. They are not attached to a lift and they have no loops or clips. For a stay-on 2-way or 4-way sheet that remains on the mattress, see WendyLett. Ask us to add the bottom sheet or the 4-way top on the same quote.
For a tubular SystemRoMedic sliding mat, see EasySlide. Use EasySlide when you want the ULF tube. Use ErgoSheets when you want the ErgoSafe nylon sheet you take off after the move.
If the work is a hoist-assisted turn or boost, start with the HumanCare positioning sling. That is a lift sling, not a slide sheet. If the person can stand and turn on a platform, see the Handicare ReTurn. Ultra can be used to place a sling in bed or in a chair. Follow that sling's own manual for the lift and the loops.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When a sheet wears out, you call the shop that sold it, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
ErgoSafe ErgoSheets warranty
The 2200 instructions print an expected lifetime of 4 years or more if the sheet is used and laundered correctly. They do not print a separate warranty year count. Inspect the sheet before every use. Stop using it if the nylon is worn, the seams have opened, or the webbing has frayed. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What is an ErgoSafe ErgoSheet?
It is a silicone-treated nylon slide sheet for turning a person in bed or moving them higher up the mattress. You place it, make the move, and take it off. It is not a stay-on bed sheet and it is not a lift sling.
What models can I quote?
Two live factory articles: 230100 ErgoSheet 2200 (56 x 32 in, two sheets, webbing handles) and 230510 Ultra ErgoSheet 2400 (66 x 33 in, thinner nylon, no webbing handles). The default is 230100. We will match the selector to one of those articles.
How is this different from EasySlide?
EasySlide is a SystemRoMedic tubular sliding mat with ULF inside. ErgoSheets are ErgoSafe nylon sheets you take off after the move. We already sell EasySlide. Pick EasySlide when you want the tube. Pick ErgoSheets when you want the handled (or Ultra) nylon sheet.
How is this different from WendyLett?
WendyLett is a stay-on 2-way / 4-way fitted sheet system. ErgoSheets are removed after the turn or the boost. Handicare says not to leave the ErgoSheet unattended under the person. See WendyLett when the bed should keep a sheet on the mattress.
How is this different from ErgoSlide?
ErgoSlide is a different ErgoSafe family (2100, 2300, 2305, 4400) for bed-to-gurney and multi-direction work. This page is ErgoSheets 2200 and Ultra 2400 only. Ask us if the job is a lateral bed-to-gurney slide.
Can I leave the sheet under the person?
No. The 2200 instructions say not to leave the ErgoSheet unattended under a person or on their bed. Take it off when the move is done. If you need a sheet that stays on the bed, look at WendyLett.
Does the manufacturer print a safe working load?
No. The 2200 instructions, the Ultra sell sheet, and the Savaria card do not print a kg or lb rating. We will match the sheet to the person with you and your clinician. Do not guess a number from another slide sheet.
How do I wash the 2200 sheet?
Machine-wash it at 80 C / 170 F. Hang it to dry, or tumble it on low heat at 40 C / 104 F. Used and laundered that way, Handicare prints an expected life of 4 years or more. Ask us for Ultra laundry until an Ultra manual is on the order.
Does a sling or another sheet come with it?
No. The quote is the sheet in the model you pick. Add EasySlide when you also want a tubular mat. Add WendyLett when the bed needs a stay-on system. Add a sling when Ultra is being used to place one.
How many caregivers do I need?
The 2200 slide-up steps are written for two caregivers working in unison, one on each side, hands in the webbing at the shoulders and hips. Do not lift. Follow the instructions that ship with the sheet.
How fast can a purchased ErgoSheet be delivered in the GTA?
This is a smaller good. Ask us for the next ship date. Call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service for lifts and beds, not automatically to a purchased sheet.
What is the warranty on ErgoSheets?
The manufacturer manuals do not print a year term. They print an expected lifetime of 4 years or more if the 2200 sheet is used and laundered correctly. Inspect the sheet before use and stop using it if it is worn. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
